    Hey guys,
I ave been running Traktor pro for about a week now with a BCD3000, and all of a sudden the program crashes after 3 to 5 minutes after startup. I have reinstalled it multiple times, but the problem remains. I am running it on:
AMD phenon 9950 quadcore @ 2,6 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Windows XP SP3.
I am getting pretty frustrated about it, can anyone point out what might be the problem?

    Thanks,
    knos

Hey I'm getting the same here, purchased this yesterday and the same after 3-5 minutes the programme crashes. The PC is up to spec because the demo work all ok. As soon as I go to my C drive to bring up my tune collection, the screen either goes totally black then shuts down or "Traktoe.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close etc." It seems ok when playing around with the demo sounds, but as soon as i try my C drive collection, it crashes. I removed the demo completely before purchasing the full version.

Please help or this will be returned for a refund.

Yeah, but had it working for a week, and now all of a sudden it crashes. It's freaking killing me man, first give me a week to fall in love with it and then break down on me? That's just cold man.

The 1.1 update came out on monday... so at best you've been using it for 5 days.

Have you installed the latest update?

Okay downloaded the update and installed, what i am finding is when i go into Explore and start a search on my external HD for my music files, becauuse the files contain in the region on over 800 tracks, that it will start to load them into the Traktor browser then crash.

Now i'm having toreduce the files of tunes to smaller amounts to stop the crashing, but its now coursing me confusion on finding my tunes without making Traktor crash.

Any info would be helpfull here.

Knos, has the update cured your problem?

No, didn't help anything. I sometimes get to play one track, but when I try to mix in the next it crashes... Could a setting in windows be the source of the problem? Because I reinstalled it multiple times and it still crashes, and it used to work before.. I would totally be willing to reinstall windows for this, but I want to be sure if it will work..

I'm assuming the Debug files, not a problem i'll the info to 'Support' in the effort of solving the issues.

I have managed to mix 4 tracks in total since the purchased after saving months for TP. Please restore my faith in N.I.

I'm getting the feeling that the size of my library causes traktor to crash. Is this possible? I still do not have any crashlogs.

Oddly Knos, this is the reason Traktor crashes with me. The programme works fine, but as soon as i try to open my library from either my HD or even from the C drive it crashes.

I have not even managed to play anything more than the demo tunes.

    I've had the same problem.
After sending the crashlog to NI, they gave me the answer that a corrupted *.wav-file is causing the crash.

I've found these files myself and deleted them. (Ripped them to *.mp3-file now).
And T Pro is working fine.

So send your crashlog to the support of NI and they will help you.

Well all my files are 320 mp3's, edited firstly in Wavepad (why do producers leave massive gaps at the start and end of they tunes? I don't), then processed though Platinum Notes & Mixed In Key 4. I have well over 1000 tracks in just one genrie. Thats gonna be a nightmare to find the individual file(s) that could be corrupt.

Ok, I don't recall getting a number when i sent it from the N.I. Online Support. Would I have received a confirmation email with it on? Because I have seen one yet and I have been checking my mail regular including the junk folder.

Hmmm I understand the problem, but is there any good reason why corrupt .wav or .mp3 files should crash a Pro product? Surely there should be sufficient On_error coding for the program to be able to say 'Your file is corrupt, I'm not loading that' rather than tanking.

Okay dzjeck your on to something here. What i have done is break my files down into Key Folders then eliminate the tunes that stop when loading and then deleting them and i got a folder to load, man i never knew i had so many 'corrupt' files. I'll carry on doing this until every folder loads. This might have possibly solved the riddle, fingers crossed.

Got it working at last, just as well i
that I persisted where prehaps others would not off. I have to agree with Lethal_Pizzle, why not have an on screen message saying 'corrupt music file' instead of just crashing the programme and causing untold hours and pleading to for help. I had over 30 corrupt files and worse thing is, all the corrupt files were ones I had purchased from the likes of Beatport, Juno & DJ Download and all the ones that I had skanked freebies from various forums and blogs were all ok.

Karlos many thanks dude, if you find my support tag, bin it or better still hold on to it because no doubt I'll be contacting you again with further problems down the line. I bet its never a dull day in the N.I. technical office.

Dzjeck your a life saver, thanks dude and Knos I hope you find a solution to your crash problems if there different to mine.

Thanks guys I'm off to torment the 'DJ Controllers' section as I want a new controller that isn't at Allen & Heath prices and actually works straight out the box without me having to send nice emails to Karlos wishing I'd bought flipping Serato :)
