Two words to rid you of most grounding-based problems: "galvanic isolators". Usually do the trick (but - this absolutely needs to be said - not always).

galvanic isolators are a marine application, can you tell me more info how this would work with the audio 8 DJ?

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85049

and i thought of something i didn't like with TSP after coming from Serato was the installation process, service centre made me redownload my update three times before it would install, what's with that?

I think if someone owns the Audio 4 or Audio 8 they should be able to just download the software for free (like Serato).

Run that by me again. You think if you have bought an NI Soundcard they should get Traktor for FREE. You get Traktor LE for free.
I cant even Demo Serato with 2 decks its less useful than iTunes to me.

I buy petrol but i dont get a free car to go with it.

Ok I'll slow it down for you.

If I buy Traktor Scratch Duo, which REQUIRES the Audio 4 to operate, then the software should be able to be downloaded without registration hassles. If the software doesn't operate without the Audio 4 then what difference does it make?

Oh...and if you want to demo SSL, just ask almost any professional dj to let you give it a try, as 90% of them use it.

Ok first of all, you don't need to slow anything down for me so being lippy won't help.
Secondly you still aren't making any sense as there are no registration hassles with Pro. You register it and DJ , no hassle.
Thirdly were I come from locally more djs use Traktor, I don't personally know any Pro djs that I can use their Serato ( i know a lot of Pro djs ) so as I said the Demo is useless to me.

Fell in love with Traktor3 after much marketsearching and testing some time ago. Bought a Mackie d4pro ("certified"...don't need Audio 4/8), got a "discount" for TSP. Fully satiesfied. Still don't personally know any of those % (either side) just pioneer %. If I would know all of you, I would get to feel like amongst rebels if it were 10/90...i don't now cause I know we...(oh sorry i'm a nonproffessional)...YOU are out there thanks to this wonderful forum.

this is the first and last time I will ever recommend behringer equipment...
but even they can't fvck up ground lift circuitry :D

get the behringer HD400 (hum destroyer). problem solved.

good times... :) I remember the quality of vinyl starter kits being dependent on sympathy, too. some people got 10 good tracks in a 30 vinyl set, others barely got one...

    and peace to you!

seconded registration was no problem, Native Instruments have the same copy protection scheme across all their products, they're not going to change just one because the way the competition works.

The other thing is Traktor is a standalone program it doesn't actually "require"the A8DJ or A4DJ to operate, it works with any soundcard, that's why theirs copy protection in place

I made a registration suggestion that is already utilized by the DVS market leader, and you come back with ridiculous analogies in an effort to mock my post. Keep it courteous and I will too.

ok I'll slow it a bit down for you, sir.

you can use the traktor duo software as standalone (w/o scratch compatibility), so it shouldnt lie around for download for free, therefore you obviously have to register.

also, just buying an A4/8 does not give you a scratch license. you usually buy the whole bundle or an upgrade. also obvious, why you have to register then.

@White Tiger, re-read my post . It was clearly a little joke ,i like car analogies and there have been many rececntly maybe you missed them. I was certainly not mocking, i wouldnt do that. But as you arent the right guy for light heartedness ill keep it to the point.

Niether of your posts explain :
    A. Why Traktor should be free.
    B. Why registration is a hassle.

Making comparisons to Serato is not relevant in either circumstance.
You havent made a "registration suggestion" you have simple said that you prefer the way Serato does things which as we have established many times on the forum recently is neither here nor there.

If you care to elaborate im all ears.

There's a video on youtube of a guy trying to play a wedding using Traktor but can't because Traktor keeps telling him his copy is "unregistered" even though it is.

There are posts all the time of people having registration problems. If neither of you can figure out that this turns people off, then oh well..

Keep your fingers crossed that the Serato/Ableton partnership isn't that impressive, otherwise Traktor will quickly become a very minor player in this game.

My impression about traktor scratch pro is very positive.
I suggest these things to improve it:
    - Reinsert the recording "action" function as Traktor 3, in order to edit "not in real time" compilation with errors.
    - Possibility of best personalizing the upper bar (that with bpm, record, effects functions): as many users I have a 16:9 video and all the windows opened should be stay visible.
    - Possibility of direct drag and drop the cover art (i.e. in the left bottom space), instead importing it from file or using a thirdy party program .
    Thanks for yr work.

Is there? Has this guy contacted Registration Support ? Or even asked for help on the Forum ? Im sure this could be resolved in a day. He may have bought the software of someone that hasnt Transfered ownership?
You choose to believe that someone who hasnt bothered to do the above but has bothered to post a video on You Tube has genuine problems. Seems like a strange way of resolving an issue especially as You Tube doesnt offer NI Support. How odd.

But one video... is that the basis of your gripe?
Really, where. I get lots and lots of PMs and emails asking for help but none about Registration problems unless they are about Transfer Of Ownership.
Have you simply convinced yourself that these problems exist just to have a little gripe.
I have just reviewed the Product Activation Forum and there are zero posts about registering Traktor.

What is the 'actual' point of making a quote like that? seriously, this is a real question. What are you trying to achieve? Notoriety?

Why do you keep refering to Serato? Why are you posting in the TSP forum if you arent either asking for help or giving help or providing your thoughts on the software because as far as i can gather,
You dont even own TSP so your opinion is to be taken very lightly maybe even dismissed as you cant possibly have actually had "registration issues" with TSP.

This isnt a 'bitching forum' for Serato users. I cannot understand your reasoning behind the direction of your posting.

If you have anything constructive to add to the TSP Forum please do, your opinion is welcome. If you are just trying to be a thorn in the side or look clever having a go at Traktor forget it no-one is interested.

I ask you a third time , what is YOUR problem with Registering Traktor.
    Can you be specific.

I think White Tiger is still talking about the registration bug which was fixed many months ago. Most people never experienced that bug anyway.
