I am getting really unpleasant behavior in Traktor Pro 1.2.4 while using VCI-100se and MIDI Fighter controllers with Audio 8 DJ soundcard on OS X 10.5.8. It seems to be cured when I disconnect the MIDI Fighter (but of course I don't want to do that). The whole system freezes, sound drops out, and then it starts back up in a couple seconds. I am spinning a gig tomorrow night and really don't want this to happen. Is this MIDI Fighter's fault or is it my USB card or something? I know other folks are using this same combination of controllers without problems; could there be another source for the freezes and dropouts? I have tinkered with the latency settings to no avail, and in browsing the forums I see suggestions like changing the cache settings but I don't think you can change these anymore in 1.2.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? I am bringing a stack of wax to the gig just in case, but jeez...

Maybe it's too much for your internal USB-controller. Some devices reserve more ressources than others.
I have problems as well when I connect NS7, VCI-300 and an external USB-soundcard.
Do you use an AC-Adaptor for your VCI-100?

No I don't have an AC adapter. But I did have one for the USB hub that everything is connected to, and there is no change in the behavior. I guess I won't be bringing my MIDI fighter to the gig tonight :(
