Before buying Traktor Pro I wisely downloaded the demo version. While running the demo version Traktor Pro it keeps crashing. These crashes occur by example when I load a track or when I want to set the Audio Device in the preferences-window. Sometimes I can set the audio device and close the preferences-window whitout problems. But then the track plays at an incredible high speed.

Are these problems caused by my system, or is it the program that sucks? And how I solve these problems?

I hope there's someone who can help me!

Hmm, what kind of audio device do you use? Under which OS?

I used to have the same problems, using WinXP SP2 with Audio Kontrol 1 as SOundcard, it used to randomly crash nd freeze, sound would stop, the only solution is close it down with the Taskmanager! But this was 2 days ago and it seemed to have vanished - strange.

did you ever figure out what was causing this, I have the same problem seems now I have found about 5 people with it, each system is different.

    My thread:
    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76465

The only thing I figured out is it appears to be random, I cant reproduce it and it doesnt happen twice in a roll. I figured out how to stop it and continue and usually without crash, but it still takes too long and would be a horrible live experience either way...Fcking A!. Go to audio latency settings and hit button as if you were to make latency changes and it might reset TSP's audio engine..

I also want to mention I have AVG on my cpu.

That the tracks run at hyper speed isn't really my first problem. Traktor Pro crashes nearly every time I start it up whitin about 2 seconds. Traktor gives me rarely a chance to load and play a track.

And when it doesn't crash at the startup. I have to choose my audio device in the preferences-window, else I can't play anything at all. When I press close, there occurs nearly every time an error and Traktor shuts down immediatly.

I have also AVG and I have the same problems when I disable AVG. Giving the program admin-permissions and disabling the firewall are also non-successfull solutions. Very strange ...

guys, why do u need an anti-virus? I have 2 partitions, one with WinXP nd all my DJ stuff, no programs except Tag&Rename and Traktor PRO + NI Audio Kontrol 1 Software, that's it. Unneeded devices such as Wireless Internet, LAN Adapter, CD Drive, etc have been disabled, no need for any antivirus or anything, and then I have Vista on a different Partition which is for my work.

That's how it's supposed to be. Get rid of everything u dont really need and I can assure u it'll work!

    Fingers Crossed.
if you never hear from me again its cause it did crash and i had the crowd rip me to piece's

Here I am a new user of the forum and TSP.

I'll use this topic to post my problem:
On the installation DVD in my package was Traktor SP/P v1.0.0.250. I've installed it, tried it, done a few mixes - everything was brilliant. On friday I've checkd for updates - service center found one and I've installed it. Then I shutdown my laptop.
On saturday (the next morning) I called my friend, who's also a DJ, to show him how Traktor works - I've opend it and ... TSP (the upgraded version) didn't recognized my vinyl (I've check Audio8DJ setup), SYNC dind't work (I guess beacuse the failure of recognizig vinyls) - anything went wrong.
A few hours ago I've completely uninstalled Traktor and Audio8 drivers, restarted my laptop and installed the version 1.0.0.250. Afer a sucesfull startup Traktor crashed in the middle of nothing.
I've statred it again - crash... 4 times! Then I run "startup wizard" changed to TP and again to TSP and now seems to be working fine...
I'm affraid of next saturdays gig...

So my question is - is the upgrade buggy? Or are there special ways to install it..
