Traktor Pro Keeps "Losing" music collection

Hi There,
I have Traktor Pro installed on two note books. Over the last few weeks both notebooks have had an error when starting Traktor. The Error message in Traktor say it was unable to find the music collection. The collection has not been moved, and this has happened on both notebooks more than once.

Any Ideas why this would happen

Windows notebooks running Windows 10
Traktor version 2.8.0 (first notebook)
Traktor version 2.11.0 (second notebook)

No, Nothing moved or changed. Just shut down and the next time I start Traktor it has an issue and reinstalls the track collection.

 

Traktor may not be closing properly and thus not saving the collection (although to happen on 2 laptops is odd).
Have you tried performing 'Save Collection' prior to shutting down? That should at least save your current work.

If you have copied a collection from one machine to another and that collection was corrupt you will have to start a new collection on each.

Let us know how you get on with performing 'Save Collection'.

Thanks Karlos,
The collection was copied from the same source, so that might be the problem. I never thought of that. I am installing a new SSD on the older notebook and will then re-install the collection and then see if I still have the problem.

It is very much like Traktor has not shut down correctly, but I always close it correctly. I will try 'Save Collection' next time I use it.

 

If Traktor isn't closing properly you may need to create a new TraktorSettings.tsi
Let's see how you get on with the new SSD and we can try a new settings file if you still have issues.
