I'm using Traktor Pro with a XONE: 2D controller using internal mixer. What usually happens when I first boot up my laptop and load Traktor Pro is that my MP3s play at something like double the speed that they are supposed to play.

When I reboot laptop everything usually works okay. This happens with any mp3. All encoding is set at 44khz.

Besides obvious reasons, I am concerned that this will happen in the middle of a gig. I have had it happen a few times where everything is running fine for a while and then I'll load a new track and have to reboot to fix it.

I wouldn't know if you have it enabled or not, but it may help to enable Resetting Controls for the decks.

Happened to me yesterday in XP SP3. The playing track would go double speed when I was loading another deck or plugging a USB device in. Chkdsk /f C: and reboot did not fix it.

Can't duplicate the problem today though.

Started happening more and more frequently but I fixed it!

    Must have been conflicting software.

I went back to my older version of TSP and still had the problem, so I rolled back my entire C: partition from a HDD image. Problem gone (of course). Installing upgraded TSP worked too.

Will reinstall the few programs missing from the image and see which (if any) recreates the problem.
