I'm running the traktor pro 2 demo right now just trying it out prior to buying Traktor Scratch Duo 2 this weekend. I've gotten it all set up, have both of my CDJ's set up as a midi controllers and that is all working smooth.

My question however is the only sound out I'm getting is coming from the laptop. I cant get it to come out through the mixer unless I run a 1/8th inch line out through the headphones into one channel of the mixer, which is obviously not ideal.

Is this normal since its not a copy of scratch and once I get TSD2 the problem will magically go away? I just want to make sure something isn't wrong before I buy the software and cant return it.

You have to go to settings and change the audio output to that of your mixer or your sound card. It should show up in the drop down menu. Obviously, the sound card would have to be connected to your laptop via firewire or USB. If you don't have that option, you will need the Audio 10 sound card that comes with Traktor scratch Pro 2 (or even a previous version of the NI Audio sound card should work). To make the timecode work, you will need a traktor certified mixer or one of these cards.

I've tried that and no luck. I didnt download the manual so I'll take a look at that tonight. I did see online that I need ASIO drivers which I downloaded and installed and still no help.

I do see the sound card when I go in there but when I do that I only get sound from the laptop. I dont see an option for the mixer. Its a Behringer DJX750

I am running Win 7 64 bit if that makes a difference.

Are you choosing external mixer (and not internal)?

as far as I know I am. I'm at work right now so I cant double check. I know the laptop I'm using is on the low end but that shouldnt have anything to do as far as where the sound comes out right? If it comes out of the laptop I can only assume its working right and I just need to get it to come out of the mixer.

Is there any particular ASIO driver that I need to use or will any one work?

I guess the bottom line though is it is possible that it wont work with traktor pro right now but once I get TSD2 on Friday it should work fine since I'll have the audio 6 right?

Don't know about the ASIO drivers because I use a Mac. Anybody else know?
