Traktor pro recommended controllers anyone?

Hey everyone.

I recently learnt how to use Traktor Pro during a 3 month extensive course.

I am ready to get some external controllers to fully control and play around with my remix decks, and effects, etc

Ive been thinking about getting the pioneer xdj-rx as it was recommended to me by a friend. However, most of the pioneer controllers that i saw work with serato. And the xdj-rx works with rekordbox.

Alternatively, i was thinking about getting the Traktor Kontrol D2 which i recently saw videos online about its features along with the Traktor Kontrol Z2.

I would like someone to recommend if i should get the pioneer full system or just Traktor individual controllers and connect them to each other. Or maybe there is something else that might be better for me to work with.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't think that the XDJ-RX is a good choice for Traktor. The RX is really designed to work as a standalone.
It works with Traktor but it's far from optimal.

Pioneer controllers (SX and SZ) are designed mainly for Serato, but they works really well with Traktor.
IMO, if you want to use all the functionalities of Traktor, you should go for a controller (Pioneer or other) and not the XDJ-RX.

If there would be an official available tsi mapping file i could imagine the XDJ-RX would be a great controller for Traktor.

 

There is an official TSI mapping file on Pioneer DJ site. But it doesn't make the RX a great controller for Traktor

 

Ou yes.. Nice to see.. Now there is a Mapping tsi V1.0 available.
Well.. it will be at least as good as any other Midi Controller without HID
