Greetings fellow forum users......I need help!

I have recently upgraded from Traktor 3 to Traktor Pro.
I received my upgrade last Friday and immediately went about the installation carefully following the instructions.

I got a message stating that the programme had installed correctly but when I try and open the application I get a blank box with the header 'traktor demo mode'.......and that's it. Nothing else, it's just frozen. I don't even have the option to quit from the menu so I have to 'Force Quit'

I am using a 2.4GHz intel core 2 duo with 1GB memory and have Leopard OS X 10.5.5

I contacted technical support on Sunday but got an unhelpful reply on Monday which had me wondering if they had bothered to read my support request properly. I've tried contacting them again since but have not heard a thing.

Is there anyone out there that can advise?

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the help everyone.

Looks like I've sorted it by changing the display. I'm now downloading the update having finally managing to activate.

I might think about changing my user name now.

    Regards

I have no bad experience with the install of Traktor Pro on a MacBook Pro Core Duo 15", but lets try to give a helping hand.
After install you can run ServiceCenter in which you can register online, and were you will see that there is an update available for Traktor Pro. Have you tried to install that update?
An other advice is to do the install being Administrator. You can change that in System preferences -> Accounts in Mac OS X.
I have read about some issues with the newest MacBook's and MacBook Pro's. Maybe you should have a look to that/those thread(s).

Btw, there will be a new update before Christmas 2008 which should improve at least on MIDI support.

This is terribly frustrating that NI Traktor Pro only supports Intel Macs. I was ready to purchase an upgrade until I said, let me check out the demo version first. When the demo version of Traktor Pro showed no Mac PPC (PowerPC) support, I was shocked.

    Bad move NI.

My experience regarding reply time on ticket issued

I do not know when you issued a ticket, but reply to one I had issued took about 2.5 weeks. New version mostly means overtime for support.

Having a quick look in the NI Shop shows requirements being minimal Intel Core Duo with 1.66 GHz & 1 GB RAM. See here

I hope there will be a quick resolution for you.
