    Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding Traktor Pro and it's compatibility with Vista, Is it?

Currently I'm using Traktor 3.4.1.040 solely on a lap top and mouse (haven't decided which controller i want yet) and it works o.k but every once and a while the wave form shakes. It does not effect the music in any way or disrupt the sync. Before 3.4.1.040 i had 3.2 and you could set the latency lower or higher in 3.4.1 you can't. With pro will you be able to adjust the latency or Will that have to be done on a separate sound card?

I don't have a problem upgrading to Pro, I just want to make sure it'll work for me.

    My system is a:

    Dell XPS 1530
    2.2 GHZ
    3.0 GB ram
    32 bit operating system
    200 HD @7200 RPM.

The built in sound card is a:
Sigmatel high definition audio codec. Is this compatible?

I can't set latency using my internal sound card, but when using external audio (echo audiofire 2) I can change latency via the control panel, I'm also using vista.

Suggest you get a good external asio card or a controller that has one built in.

    Thanks, djmole

Thanks for the reply. Yeah thats what i figured quick question with a sound card can you hook it up directly to an amp? Or do i have to go through a mixer?

Yes mine is connected straight to a hi-fi amp, the audiofire has TRS outputs (like most audio interfaces), so I made up a TRS to RCA cable.
Wiring diagram is easily googled for that or you might be able to buy one.

    Thanks again

djmole! I think it's time for me to go out and get a sound card. I already have an amp and speakers so i'm close to having my complete set up. I just need a sound card and a controller. Oh yeah might as well update to Traktor Pro as well!:D

Hi I run traktor scratch pro in a PC desktop from HP with windows Vista duo intel 7700 @ 2.4 GH + 2G RAM
With the right adjustments everything works fine.
The only problem I have is that exactly every hour I hear a noise for about 1 second, it looks like that the system is doing some kind of mantainess that causes this every hour...Does Anyone have a clue what it could be?
    Thanks

So if you use an internal sound card you can't change the audio latency anymore is that correct? I'm having the same problem I tried Traktor DJ Pro and found that at 48000hz it would is crippled and pops so I had to change to 441000hz so I was thinking if I left it at 48000hz and could change the latency that it would help?

    Thanks in advance

laptop needs asio4all to be editable on internal soundcard
also clears chipmunk sounds and faster than normal pitch

Your laptop is powerful enough to run Traktor Pro on Vista. But you will surely see a performance increase under Windows XP!

    Back to theme.
I have no problems with Traktor Scratch Pro on my VISTA System. For savety i disable my ACPI...to go around any problems by 3,5 ms latency...at the moment i´m testing a latency from 1,5 ms and it still running very well.
With Traktor 3 i´ve the same problems as u with VISTA.

Thanks for getting back to me, what's interesting is that with Traktor 3.4.1 I set my card at 48000Hz and latency is 10sec it's fine.

In Traktor DJ Pro 1.0.1 I set my card to 48000Hz and latency is 9sec and the pitch is faster and crackles etc has something changed underneath?

imho this is a porgramm bug...the comunication between Traktor and vista, doesn´t work very well, so u must change the settings from the system (vista) and in Traktor parallel...u need only a few minutes to take out the right settings.

Hi just to say that Ive tried traktor scratch live with Audio 8 on vista without the battery placed on my laptop and with the internal audio card mute and I still have a noise every hour...I beleive it must be some windows vista task that makes that sound for 1 secound every hour...otherwise the sound quality is great...you just need to find the right settings

also having problems with tracktor and vista

hi there... i'm new to all of this... i just bought a Fujitsu Siemens laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium with intel core duo p8400, RAM 4gb and 32 bit OS. I also bought a omnicontrol device from numark, that included Traktor LE. the problem is that when im mixing music there's a strange sound, like there was a false contact. at fisrt i thought there was a problem with the speakers, but i changed the cables (left to right and vice-versa) and then the sound came from the other speaker... now i think it may be a problem with the drivers. but there isnt. Ive connected and disconnected the everything again and angain and the sound remains...

Thank u for your help, and im sorry for my english, but im from spain, jejeje
