Runs excellent with Windows 7 (RTM), just needed to fully turn off UAC b'cause Tpro was not able to read or write to my WMA files.
Turning UAC one step lower does nto help, it needs to be fully off.

Had a few problems with win7 recently until I used an earlier nvidia gfx driver and forced my geforce 8400 to run in 2D mode - sorted now.

I tested 7 for 6 months when it came out in Jan...sucks its still not available. I liked it, wasnt anything incredibly better, but you def wont miss vista. Im on a 32 bit os with dell...very soon < prob around the time 7 is released, ill be either going with a powerbook or 64 bit...anyone have any opinion (beside the latter option will cost me both my arms and legs)

    work very very very well.

    I advice digital.beach: go 64 bit.

now win7 read all my 4 gig of ram, :)

Right click My Computer (or is it just Computer now?)
    Choose Properties
Click on "Advanced system settings" in the column on the left
Choose the Hardware tab and click on the "Device Manager" button
Click on the + next to Batteries, right click on "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant blah blah" and choose "disable"

    That might do it.

I don't know about the Stereomix thing but have a rummage about in the Sound settings in Control Panel.

If you have one soundcard only, or only a two stereo output pairs...
Control Panel | Sound | Sounds Tab | Set the sound scheme to none.

If you have an internal Sound card and an Audio 4 or 8 or fw410 or the like...
Control Panel | Sound | Playback Tab | Set Yuor internal Soundcard as the Default Device - That will prevent the system sounds from being produced on the A4 or A8.
If you use the internal mixer and have an A8, Firewire 410 or similar 8 channel sound card make 5/6 or 7/8 your default soundcard and use 1/2 and 3/4 for Traktor.

Ultimately its all about getting windows system sounds OFF the audio channels used in the system by Traktor. YEMV but thats the gist of the process.

On the battery thing... Try creating a pwoer profile that forces your system to full speed. I'm assuming ACPI polling is not a problem for you in Win7 and you just want to ensure you get best possible performance.

Also I have heard from a couple of people with brand new Sony laptops that say running windows 7 at full performance with Traktor for extended periods = thermal limiting and sudden shutdown. Dunno which models or more details.

Sounds like a video driver issue. Try installing newer/older GFX drivers.

My problem is that the music stops for 2-3seconds when I use the browser in TSP. I've tried different GFX drivers.

    I have a HP DC5800, non-laptop ^^, computer with TSP 1.2.2 and AUDIO 8,

I've just had a weird problem on Windows 7 (x86) for the first time! Here's the deal, running Traktor PRO 1.1.1 and a BCD3000 with Vista drivers... Now then, the BCD master out is routed through my Creative SB Live! 24-bit for recording and broadcasting purposes! This worked flawlessly since beta builds of Windows 7... Since i installed a driver update for the SB Live which was offered through Windows Update all hell broke loose! Traktor runs just fine @ 4.5 ms as it did before and then as soon as i engage any program that records (Soundforge) or broadcasts (Edcast) the signal from the SB Live line-in, Traktor starts to skipping... This is weird because the second i shut down the mentioned programs all goes back to normal... So my first guess was to raise the latency of the BCD soundcard that Traktor uses, this didn't help at all... Tried all possible latency settings and nothing improves! The same thing happened if i used the integrated Realtek soundcard instead of the SB Live (it worked fine aswell before this update!). Now here's the funniest part... After some time of fiddling with this, i reinstalled Windows 7 and skipped the mentioned SB Live! driver update and installed the driver that worked before! And now, that one doesn't work either... The whole thing was so frustrating that i went back to Win XP and all is well now! But still, i can't figure out what the problem was, so if any of you have an idea, please help me out cause i'm starting to miss Windows 7 after using it since the first available beta!

    Hi!

The sound-system on win 7 is completely different than the XP system.
Many 7 drivers are i an early development state, you simply have to wait a little bit.
Since the release of Win 7 Creative has released the second driver version for my soundcard and it solved some issues like yours...
I hope in summer 2010 all problems will be solved with Service Pack 1 for Win7.
    ---
I got a very strange problem with Win7 - the waves of Traktor Pro and Traktor 3 are not running smooth.
They are bucking and it is almost impossible to do a good mix.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

Everything else works fine, low Latency, Windows itself is running smooth with Aero, and 3D-Games are running perfect, too.

    My Hardware:

    Nvidia 9800 GTX+ Driver 191.07
    Asus P5Q PRO Latest BIOS
    Core 2 Duo 3,16GHz
    8GB DDR2 1066 MHz
    Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro Driver 2.17.0007

    Tested on Win7 x86 and Win7 x64 with 1.5ms Latency

(This PCIe Soundcard is the fastest i have ever seen!)

    Thanks!

i just installed windows 7 ultimate on my ASUS F5GL 2.16 ghz dualcore 4gb ram and so far its pretty damn good

i installed the 32bit version tho coz i was worried bout the whole 64bit driver thingie

windows 7 actually made this backup laptop (my main laptop is macbook white) a lot more stable~ everything is zippy and fast~ there are some latency/dropout issues if i turn on wifi but if i turn it off via the switch on the side of the laptop there are no dropouts/latency whatsoever, i already tested everything with dpclat and traktor 1.2.4 and its perfect! Havent ran into any issues so far

i must say im very impressed with win7!

At the moment there are some very very good deals on the market for intel laptops, for the same price of a macbook white 2.2ghz, 2gb ram and 250gb hd, you can easily get a SUPERIOR core i5 2.5ghz, 4gb DDR3ram and 500 GB hd - im starting to regret buying my white macbook now!

Gordon you probably want to start looking at your DPC latency with DPC latency checker. you might also make certain you have the latest video drivers installed.

Since you have Win 7 you can use ETW which is Event Tracing for Windows. With that tool you can drill down to see EXACTLY which component is causing your video motion to be rough. It not a thing for the faint of heart and it can be complicated but it will give you look into your system operation (even without debuggers and symbols installed) like no other tool. Its detailed use is a big set of posts all on its own and I apologize for the point and run, but I don't have time to write the posts at present to detail its use. There a lot of technical on the intraweb about its use. When I do have time I will write up some posts about it but it ain't gonna happen in the coming week.
