Traktor pro1.1.1 collection conversion to Traktor pro 2.6.1

Hello everybody,

I am facing a big problem...i updated from TP1.1.1 to TP2.6.1 and my huge collection,playlists,e.t.c cannot be imported whatever i tried.

Is there any solution ? The collection is very big and it took me years to accomplish.

Any convertion tool? All i get is crashes...invalid collection messages and freeze ups
while trying to import.

or, install the latest TP1 version (1.2.7) and update from there.

 

So you are suggesting to install 1.2.7 -> import my collection there -> save collection in 1.2.7 format -> import to 2.6.1

I will try when i get home...i am open to other verified solutions !

Still no definite answer....is it something no one else has tryed? I did not ask for something so strange it think... :-( they do not know the compatibility between traktor versions?

Still nothing....no clue.....i keep waiting and waiting. Sent errors, logs, screenshots...

Yesterday they told me that 1.2.7 to 2.6.1 can be done.
I have tried it many times before them with no success.

I tried to export and import some playlists though with success.

If i import my music folders again and do this export-import playlist procedure i can have my collection and playlists again.

I do not care if i will have to reanalyse all my songs even if it takes 5 days.

How can i save my cue points?

 

I almost did a progress. I took my external HD and went to a friend with iMAC, i installed traktor e.t.c and import the collection. 4-5 hours later the collection and playlist showed up! I copied the native instruments folder to a usb stick and went back home. I noticed that my collection from 165mb turned to 185mb (maybe because of the conversion from 1.27 -> 2.61). opened my traktor from my laptop which i had just formated with no other installations in it. The collection and playlists opened ! But....all files show error msg that they are missing,drm,e.tc. i tried to relocate, but is seems to take for ever the progress bar does not move at all when scanning the HD. Any suggestions? Can i edit the collection.nml or any other settings ini?

 

the problem is that in windows i had assigned my external drive as Z:music and when the Mac transformed my collection alla tracks have the path //music

Can i edit somehow all songs with Z: ?

 

highlight all tracks, then rightclick > relocate and choose the top music folder!
