Its very annoying, but you should Save periodically to preserve your work as with any software. If im making playlists im in a habit of turning Traktor off regularly just so i know the work is saved both in the prog and in the backup folders. Yeah it may sound a bit odd but hey it works, it gives me total piece of mind.

Could it have been a dodgy mp3. What were you doing at the time?
Have you got the Crash Log.

    Mac or P.C. ?

    I'm using mac..

so you know yourself, it doesn't happen with mac very often..

It actually never happened to me with traktor before so i didn't bother with saving..

But you can be sure that i will since now on..:p

otherwise i was just loading into deck mp3 witch i used many times before and it was grant.:|

Thats what i was doing the only time Traktor has crashed on me, loading a track but i was able to replicate it . I tried loading the same mp3 and it crashed Traktor.
To be honest T3 never crashed whilst playing live since it came out so im very anxious that PRO will have the same good record.

    Unexplainable crashes are sh*t

Did TP shut down entirely or did it keep on playing the other track until you actually closed it?

    It shut entirely.

I actually only played one track at the time because i was deciding what playlist i'll put it into.

my traktor shut unexpectedly every time i opend a dir with a special mp3 file.
since i removed the .mp3 file from the dir it doesn't quit anymore...

can't say what's so special about that mp3 file. no special bitrate or tags...

This happens to me too as soon as browse to a specific directory of mp3 files. The problem is that the folder contains around 100 subfolders with around over 1000 mp3 - is there a software which can check if mp3 files are corrupt? Most of them are beatport purchases and I never had any problems with M-Audio Torq.
