Hi there, we just played T in The Park in scotland and after 2 hours of my traktor recording i decided to close my laptop.

now any normal person would press the record button at the end of thr recording but i clean forgot.(my first ever traktor gig !)

when i eventually opened up my laptop, there is an error report and i opnly have a wav file with 16 minutes of our set recorded.

Is there any chance at all that the file of the full recording is somewhere in the mac, i am presuming traktor was unable to finalise the recording, if anybody has any ifno on me being able to retreive my recording please do help me out..

    oh my dear,
    i can feel you !

what i would do first, have a look at where traktor stores the final file.
look for a temp-file or any other file within that folder that could be the recording, and try opening it with some wave-editor. maybe you have to rename it first.
otherwise, search for any temp file within all your traktor folders on the hdd, maybe within the library-folders, application support / audio ... you name it.
    but that`s just guessing,
someone from N.I. could give you a better advice about where to search for the files.

but, if you know the time (approx) when you shut down the computer, you can search for temp-files created at that time, and try them.

    good luck man

    Got the same problem.
I closed Traktor without pushing the record button.
Now i have a file of 600meg but cannot read it with a player or even with wavelab.

Maybe a moderator could help here please :) ?

when you try to open the file, use a sample editor which can open "raw" files and set your sample preferences to the same settings as your audio output in Traktor (for example 24 bits /96khz, just make sure it's the same otherwise you'll get digital noise only :)

hey jeed, i was unable to open the file in wavelab or ableton or itunes.

i ended up downloading free wav editor AUDACITY and it let me import a RAW file which is what the data is right now in traktor. this worked a treat.

as per goonzy's intructions above, respect to you goonzy thanks for your help..
