Check the djtt forum. I’m just bring the info here but I’m not involved in the development.

Thanks! The first custom made units will be a bit expensive probably, and yes they do pretty much 100% of what a normal S4 deck does. The only function I can think of that the S1 project does not have currently is brightness control of the LED's.

Context: I built the units :D

I've followed this project religiously at DJTT. Just amazing work.

Do the S1 displays show all 9 of the deck header fields?

I don't think the display is large enough for 9 fields, but the script he's using does expose most of the fields. I left out a few that didn't seem important, like bitrate and sample rate.

It also exposes master, sync, key lock and on air status.

You can basically throw everything on there that you need, the display has a pretty high res (nothing too fancy but pretty sharp). I'm doing Artist, track name, BPM, track progression, and comment #2.

Thanks for the script Erik ;) I'm thinking about switching over to the Denon track info hack though but it's more complex and limited, I don't like that this requires having a local server running to do the HTTP -> serial/midi conversion.

Also with this script, I can display cue points on the track progression bar, pretty nice!

That's fair. I looked into loading other Qt libraries from QML, to send the data some other way, but I'm pretty sure the libraries would have to be compiled into Traktor.

Yeah, I was considering sending the hot cue names and positions as well, for that purpose.

Any other cool tech/DJ stuff you're currently working on/thinking about Erik?
