Traktor S4 Compatibility with MAC

Hi I recently bought an old but gorgeous s4 traktor controller, and it doesn't seem to be recognized by my macbook. I am on Mac Os 10.14, and it seems the drivers only go up to 11. I'm going to try to downgrade and see if that works.

Otherwise the only success was the usb light blinking. No signals were being read from the controller

 

Hopefully you installed an older MacOS to get this working! Support dropped for the Mk1 around 10.11.

 

I wasn't able to download OS X or 11 because I have a newer macbook, I think it's from 2017. Do you know any way around this?

Note that this workaround does not work on macOS 10.15.

 

So if I've got an S4mk1 and a new MacBook Pro, it won't work with the current Catalina OS?

I'm gutted if that's the case. I just bought a new lappy so that I could use my S4.

 

That is indeed the case. You might be able to dual boot in to Win10 via bootcamp and see if it works there? (No idea if the S4 Mk1 is still supported in Win 10)
