Is it possible to change from the 2 decimal place system to just one decimal place for the tempo? Beat matching gets frustrating having to move the slider back and forth to get it exact. And before someone says change the range in transport settings so the sensitivity will make it easier, keep in mind that rapes my tempo faders range. I haven't been able to figure this out and its a killer to artist freedom. Hopefully I just overlooked something.

Not that I'm aware of. And this is the very problem with actually displaying BPMs that you think you need chase the needle, when this is really somewhat more of a tempo fader accuracy and smoothness issue. This is only annoying you because you think you need to get the values the same - and if that's the case, the Sync button is a better friend. Two or more decimal places are needed to ensure you have as fine grain control over the tempo as possible to match any two tracks that might not actually be right on the 0th decimal place of a BPM.

I've recently been pushing myself out of beginner mode and have turned off the phase meters and BPM display in the deck header and rather enjoy manually beatmatching and making the minor adjustments with the job wheels when I can hear it drifting out of time.

Sync is a nightmare I refuse to use it. I have been doing exactly what you said using the jog wheel as it drifts out... that is however after that fact its "out". I'm not the first to be concerned over this. A few of my friends have mentioned it to me after using my traktor.
I've just been dealing with this for the past few years I've owned my traktor and after using some pioneer equipment and not having that issue... its began to bother me a lot. Thanks for the input!

I have an S4 Mk1 and admit the tempo faders could feel and work a little better. Now that I'm manually beatmatching I know what you mean - I think it's that they are too stiff and require quite a bit of force to get them moving, but which time you've already overshot the small adjustment you were trying to make.

i totally agree, you should have an option to choose 1 decimal place and no decimal places.
just stick it in the options and make everyone happy ;)

    edit:
and not just a visual roundup/rounddown simplification either- the music should be exactly the speed displayed ;)
