    2 solutions (for me)
    I've had 2 S8's now and both had the same issue!
    The first was issue was one of the 3 cables on the power board, re-seated and secured with hot melt glue.

    The 2nd unit that failed had a broken DC barrel, this should only be attempted if you have some electronics experience.
    I found the part on Amazon;
    sourcing map 5.5mmx2.1mm DC Power Jack Plug 3P Female Socket Plug DC-005 10pcs

    The problem is that the various boards inside are powered by a black bridge cable that is not soldered and can easily be disconnected or flicker! After I soldered them I never had problems again! I hope I was helpful with this answer :)

    Check J7-J10 and J7-J13

    I had the same issue a couple of months ago, the device simply stopped powering on at all. I took it to a repair shop in town and they fixed it and said it was just some loose cables that needed to reconnected (and soldered just to be sure).
    Now the same problem has reoccurred, but this time I'll try doing it myself since it's becoming a waste of money.
    What's definite is that the Traktor S8 is a faulty device that cannot be trusted, bad investment.

    UPDATE: followed the instructions from Xtian0's post:
    removed the bottom cover and all the screws, checked all visible cables and gently pushed them in a bit, connected and it's working again.
