Traktor Scratch Audio 10 USB Issue

I just recently bought a brand new Traktor Scratch A10 last weekend . On going through the installation/setup process things were going fine up until finally connecting the Audio 10 interface.

To my disappointment the interface is not recognised on either System Preferences / Sound / devices and Traktor Audio Settings. On taking another look at the instructions it states :

USB: Lights green when the USB port is connected to a computer. A blinking green, however, indicates a USB connection problem.

However what I experienced is the USB light is green even when nothing is plugged into the port? following that noticed someone else having the same problem yet no reply! Is there maybe a faulty batch circulating?

Feeling , there's nothing more disappointing in buying something you've wanted, required then acquired, getting it home and the blasted thing don't work.

I will take it back to where I purchased it from as I am still within my consumer rights for an exchange!

sorry to say it happened to me with a8 dj after most recent driver update ni update bricks your soundcard solid green usb the stupid soundcard don't know its got a problem. yes it is that thick, windows reports device cannot start and the little green smt led flickers to indicate handshake is good, but feel free to search more for this error but the majority off posts on this matter are removed quite quickly. unless somebody with some programming knowhow comes up with a way to flash the corrupt firmware via usb to reset we are all screwed. So if anyone has any success at flashing a8dj-a6-a10 then speak up please as this takes out all products including z2 native mixers so I cant even trust that if I buy again it wont happen again.
