    Hi everyone.
I bought the duo version at the weekend, and i decided i needed to buy a dedicated laptop to run it. Anyway here's the specs for it:-

    Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
    Model: HP G62 Notebook PC
    Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: AMD Athlon II P320 Dual-Core Processor 2.10 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 3.00 GB (2.74 GB Useable)
    System Type: 64-bit Operating System

I've had problems from the start, the sound is really scratchy, like a bad peice of vinyl crackling everywhere. And after about 2 minutes the programme crashes and shuts off. Sometimes i don't even get chance to load a track before it crashes, also if im messing with the settings it sometimes freezes. I've been running it within the laptop so far because i don't see why it would behave different if i linked it up to my cdj's. Besides, it should run fine in the laptop anyway.

To make sure it's not the software i've installed it on my Dell tower which runs Windows 7 Ultimate, and a 4 year old Acer that i have around that's about half as good as my new Hewlett Packard. And they both run it perfectly fine, without any problems.
I have also noticed that on the Dell and Acer the sample rate is running at 44100 hz, where as on the Packard it's running at 48000 hz. So i'm thinking that could be a part of the crackling problem, but i can't alter the sample rate or latency underneath that for some reason. The latency is set at 10.0 ms on the packard which is playing up. But i guess all that wouldn't stop the programme crashing either.

I've tried updating the computer through windows update and still nothing. I restored it back to the factory settings and re-installed Traktor, and it's still the same. I'm currently going through all the updates for Traktor from oldest to newest on this page:-

    https://co.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=updates&L=1

So i'm hoping that will work out but i don't hold much hope. Is there any patch i could apply or update which could solve this. I could do with a bit of help i think!

    Thanks

You've got Scratch Duo. This means you have an ASIO soundcard. Select the ASIO driver.
