I analyze my files form my collectionfolder...so maybe that is the source of your problem...do you have all folders of yours that contain music added in the "preferences - file management"?
Othewise I'm guessing it could be that if you just right click on the stuff you wanna add to your collection and the click add to collection, that traktor need to double the files so too speak somehow to remember the location, contense etc...hope you kinda get what I mean?

file management/data location, ya, my mp3 folders are declared there, so i need to analyze thru my track collection folder? As in just highligt everything then right click on analyze?
What about the space on my hd that has been eaten by analyzing thru my playlist, can i still recover that space? Coz im searchin my hd, i cant find any files/folders that contain the analyzed info from traktor.
    Thanks 4 ur reply djstrategy

Yes, you can clear your playlist by rightclicking on the folder trackcollection and then clicking on "clear playlist"...not sure if the problem really was with how you analyzed your files....honestly I think there might be sth else wrong...

Hey guys i have a doubt about TSDuo that i would like to share here in the forum and hopefully get some advice about it.

Using Traktor Scratch Duo with 2 Pioneer 1000 MK3 (or any other CDJ´s for that matter) and an external mixer of course, is it possible to beatmatch automatically by just pressing "SYNC" without having to beatmatch yourself?

When i bought TSD i was sure this would work, but the thing is i´ve never been able to make it work till now!

    Why?

i'm running traktor scratch pro using the audio 8 dj interface, and it's not showing me an input mode is selected on the module. i'm pretty sure the lights work, but i also can't recognize the signal records so i'm not sure what's going on. i have all the connections made corectly and secure, but i can't select an input mode. any ideas?

This is only the official questions thread, but only for Traktor Scratch DUO not PRO, so you posted in the wrong thread, plus I'm sure if you use the search function you'll finde an answer to your problem, as it's a pretty common problem...

Hello i purchased my ts duo last week and test it for first time with control cds yesterday.
I was not able to use cue buttons on my cdj 800s.Is it because of bad calibration?

    As I am a pure TimecodeVinylUser, I hope I'm not totally off with my answer, but as far as I know and form what I have heard and read here;
when playing timecode cds with Traktor the user is pretty limited to strictly playing the cds...meaning on board looping/effects and probably also using the cuebutton on the CDJ as one would with normal Cds won't work!

But what you could and should do if you own a pair of cdj-800mk2 (they are midicapable) is just midimap all those commands to the correspoding buttons on the cdj within traktor and VOILA it shoudl all work!;)
    Hope I could help

Default Keyboard Key Maps & Page Up Page Down

    Hi all,

I've been badly surprised that keys mapping are not customizable in Traktor Scratch Duo. Anyways, there seem to be some default keys mapped. What are they ?

As well, i badly but really badly need Page Up & Page Down to browse trough tracks in the browser.. this does not work for me.

    Can anybody confirm ?

    cheeers,
    8b.

    It's not in the manual?

Well up and down should work fine either by using the mouse, with the up and down arrows on you keyboard, or with the inner section of the vinyl which can be used as a scrollwheel so to speak!

The keycommands can all be found in the manual, not the actuall hardcover one, but the one in your install folder!

For example on my comp it is:

    C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Traktor\Documentation

and in there, this one is the one you want: "Traktor Manual English.pdf"

Keycommands can be found in section 19. on pages 203 to 209

or 223 to 230 in the "Traktor Manual German.pdf"!

I have access to some top-secret documents that mention the addition of key mapping customization in Traktor Duo 1.2...

Thomas, if this is real pleas PM me... Thanks...

The problem with the down arrow is the you have to strike it all the times, it stops at every tracks... i've got better things to do while playing...

Honestly, i don't understand this limitation, its plain stupid ! Being able to map keyboard keys is just usage its no features... 4 or 2 decks i really understand but this sorry no..

Hhm, on my comp it works fine and runs straight through the tracklist just the way it should!
But then again i personally prefer using the scroll part of the vinyl most times anyway...;)

Well this might have to do with my setup then, i'll chck out what i can twiddle on the keyboard settings...

Could you confirm to me that the keys PAGE UP / PAGE DOWN does nothing at all when you're in the tracks browser with a track "line" selected ?

That'll be wicked from you !

    cheers,
    8b.
