Traktor (Scratch) DUO - Official questions thread

Hey Traktor members, I have bought "Traktor Scratch Duo",
but can't seem to make it work correctly... Can somebody help me?

Situation:
I would like to make my traktor software work with my CDJ 1000 MK3's

Problems:
- When the Audio 4 Dj device is plugged with all its cinch cables, the sound quality isn't good at all ( also when i play normal cd's )?

- I can't seem to calibrate?

- In traktor i can"t find the presets for CDJ 1000's , only for CDJ 400's

It sounds to me like you don't have a beatmarker setup. Have you analysed your tracks yet? You can set a manual beatmarker. Goto your fiest downbeat and press the symbol that looks like an I. Then everything should work like the tutorials show.

 

I just bought Traktor Duo from the shops. it says that the activation code is on the Cd cover but it is not there, its not on the cd, not on the box or books. wtf. lol its not anywhere, how am i suspose to activate it :angry:

 

No Default Settings Found Please Reinstall! help!

hey, im running TSD on a mac unibody 2010 wth snw leopard and when i try to install traktor i can activate i and everything just no default settings found... HELPP! haha

Hi! I own Audio 8 dj, Traktor le, kontrol x1. I want to upgrade to traktor scratch pro. how i can to this? i don't want to buy traktor with one more audio 8 dj, but i need scratch version. thank you!

 

The cheapest way is to buy TSP new with the 50% off, it's cheaper than the upgrade.

You can sell your Audio 8 then.

 

TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO is sold-out in the NI Online Shop. (((( and the same thing in Moscow's NI shop

 

Try looking for other retailers an donline shops or even stores.

 

Is there no chance to Upgrade Traktor Pro to Traktor Scratch Pro w/o buyiing the Hardware again?
(I got Traktor Scratch Duo before but the Notebook that had all installations, EMails and so on On it was stolen. - It was a Birthday Present from a friend that isnt available anymore. I dunno the Data he used to Activate)

hi i want to ask some questions about the TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO product and i have some important questions (sorry about my english ... i'm from greece)

1.if there is a way to see my greek language filenames-tags in greek form example τραγουδια
2.why when i put a track in to the program to play does not show me the title and the artist? (all my tracks don't have tags at the artist-title but only in the filename)
3.can i put a playlist and let it play by itself and do the mixes and the beatmaching?
4.when i play a track from a specific que point, the next time i'll play it again will it remember it or not
5.is there a way to take advantage of my effects from my cd players 100s (jet - wah) when i'm playing with timecodes? because my zip effect is workimg properly.

2. The informations must be written in the ID Tag of the Files....so with free software like MP3Tag it be able to wrtie the informations from the file Name to the ID Tag automaticlly
3. Use the Cruise Button in Master Panel
4. This is called HotCue..so create a Hotcue on this position and traktor will know that next time
5. The Timecode signal must be come in pure to the Audiocard...so its not possible

 

2. It doesn't show it because the information is written in Greek and Traktor can't decipher it. Happens to me all the time. You're going to have to manually change it to Greenglish

Are you sure about the 2 answer ? Because he states that he has no tags at his tracks just artist-title in file name. <aybe if he properly tags and then change the font ?

The cruise button is at the up- center and litle bit on the rigth. The manual on the other hand is at your hard drive and it should have been in the box

dj 8adam-e, do you have your music in iTunes as well? Or some other program where it reads id tags such as title, artist, album, etc?

When u didn´t find anything, and we told u the right name....check the PDF Manual...Use the search function ;-)

 

i'm not so sure about the "no". please go into the preferences and change your font to a font that supports greek signs. AFAIK when unicode came into traktor (which means that umlauts like ÄÖÜ will work), support for other languages signs came in as well, but i didnt test that indepth. i'd probably give the support a go for that question.

traktor depends on the file tags!
however, in traktor pro you can customize the deck heading of the decks. if you choose "filename" you should get that into the deck headings.

it's called cruise. there you can let a playlist play by itself. i'm not sure if you hit sync on both decks before that it beatmatches the track by itself, i didnt try.

make sure you work from below the track collection node and NOT the explorer node.

 

DJ Freshfluke thanks for the answers all worked well (the font is arial greek) now as long as i am working on the traktor i having new questions
1. when i was playing live i put a trag and drop song from an external window to the song that was playing live at the time! i was very nervus and imparesed.the first track stoped and the otherone just went in an ... black out for me!is there a way to have a warning message that stops me from doing it wrong.like ''this track is currently playing are you sure you want to continue?''
2.in the curse play what can i do to have the two tracks playing more time together when they are mixing
3.in cd timecode mode when i find my cue why it doesn't start from there but a littlebit later it needs something to do?

 

I have a gig lined up next weekend. There will be Audio 8 setup for the djs after me, but I have TSD. Would I have any problems hooking up to the Audio 8 if I have the drivers? Thanks.
