Believe it or not, my laptop is a five year old Dell Inspiron 600m with a 1.73GHz processor and 1gb of RAM. But my Duo runs very smoothly with it. I didn't have any problems installing my TSD either. I also installed a 1.9 SSL on this one before I bought the TSD. But I reformatted my laptop first before I installed the Traktor. I'll upgrade the RAM next week to 2gb (maximum for my computer).

I'm pretty sure that your laptop would work fine since you have a higher processor than mine. Just upgrade the RAM to 2gb or higher just to make sure.

    :)

2.26 ghz is not per se faster than your 1.73 ghz CPU. Really depends on what type of cpu you have..

My processor is a Centrino 1.73GHz. So is it superior than the Pentium M 2.26GHz?

Sorry about the noob question. I'm not a techy guy when it comes to computer's processors.

Centrino is a chipset, not a processor. ;) But when you say your laptop is 5 year old I would guess it's not a faster processor than the 2.26 ghz one that the topic starter has hehe. Which means for him it should work ok, but I would really recommend to upgrade the ram to 2 gb, do a clean install of windows and optimize it as well.
