I know there's been a lot of threads over this issue, and the endless amount of problems that CDJ-400s have with connecting to Traktor. Right now I'm using Pioneers DJS Software, which could have been built by some intelligent 6 year olds. I've gotten myself Traktor pro, but can't seem to set it up. I've gotten so far as the get CDJ-400 1/2 to show up on the screens for a second, but it then crashed and I couldn't remember the settings; I can't get back to that point.

I have a ridiculous list of audio devices and the most accurate one seems to be Asio DirectX full duplex driver. In output routing i have channel A and B linked to CDJ-400 1/2/3/4. On the input I have Realtek HD input, and it's picking up the signals from my computer mic for some reason. The main problem is that under MIDI devices it has 'USB Audio Device [Emulated]', rather than CDJ-400. I don't have any of the stuff that originally came with the decks so I'm completely lost.

I've been looking for a TKI file everywhere but can only find TKSs. Any help?

    Cheers.

Sorry man, wish I could help. I'm using Denon DN-S1200's as MIDI controllers but all my sound is being routed thru my Audio8. You said Traktor Scratch Pro, do you not have an Audio8? I tried using the built-in soundcards in my Denons but they suck compared to Audio8.

Nope, sold it to my mate cause I thought I wouldn't need it. Turns out I kind of do now.
    ---
It turns out it has been connected this entire time. I was thrown off that none of the buttons light up. The only problem is none of the midi controls are assigned whatsoever, and its going to take forever to do them myself. Does any have a tki file for scratch pro? I know you can't upload tks files...

Agh. They have the tki. files in the traktor pro folder. My bad. Cheers anyway!

    How to do it

I use Traktor on a macbook pro as an midi-controller with an incl. Audio-Interface, so some steps might differ to windows, especially the soundcard setup, but that's the way I managed to get them up and running:

First of all, get the firmware update for your CDJs from pioneer.com and follow the installation steps. It gave me a bit of a headache, until I found out that it's the main reason for most of my problems...

2nd, read this Post on the pioneer forum

    http://forums.pioneerdj.com/eve/for...f=8191012904&m=2391054495&r=37810224#37810224

    get started ;-)

If you're using windows, here's a shorthand howto for windows

TSI Files can be found here

    or here

the first one is IMHO the better one...

    hope I could help
