    Hello,

I am facing an issue and I can not tell if this is a problem or this is normal behavior.

Scenario goes like this. I load a track that I previously set with a load marker. Track loads successfully at load marker, but when I hit Cue it jumps on the beginning of the track, even if the the Load Marker is in the middle of the track. I am expecting to act differently since I am in Relative mode and the position of the reading laser should be ignored.

If I manually cue the track from my CDJ and set a cue point, again from my CDJ, the behavior is as expected.

When using Timecoded Vinyl (I dont have TT and this is not an option) this is not important, but with Timecoded CD's it matters very much.

I also recorded and you can have a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXxj6gRIH1Y maybe you will have a better view of the issue.

Is this a normal behavior ? It is something that I miss ?

PS: Updated to 1.1.2 and same issue.

    Please advise, thanks.

    hi,

i'm not familiar with using timecode cd's, i couldn't tell whether this is normal behaviour or not. but as you're not receiving any answer from users here, you could try contacting support for your issue.

    regards

    Hi Laddu,
The only thing I can think of is that maybe the "cue" button is mapped to the wrong function in the MIDI mapping. You may need to change the "cue" button to map to the 'marker', rather than the 'start of the track'.
I am thinking in the sense of an external MIDI controller here though, so if you dont have one of those....not too sure meeself.

    Just my 5 cents.....

    Cheers

That's my guess. Make sure you've got your preferences set to load to first cue or load marker.

Hi and tanks for you reply's.

I attached a PS to see that the option is checked in the Loading options. Also as you can see in the movie the file is loaded at load marker but when I pres Cue or Play it jumps to the beginning.

@markdeejay7: there is no MIDI mapping. I am just pressing CUE on my CDJ 1000 and it triggers the Timecoded CD to play. I can not map the CDJ's CUe button cause CDJ 1000 mk3 does not output MIDI.

I am just guessing that the Relative mode is not enabled here, cause if I set a cue point using CDJ (that means manually aka a normal Audio CD) at the middle of Track 2 on the Timecoded CD and load a track in the deck, the track jumps to the middle of it or to the end. Relative button is active as you can see in the movie.

Regarding Support Ticked, already opened one but no answer in the last 5 days.

I want to ask anybody here who has a CDJ to help me reproduce the issue. I need to know if the problem is on my sight or Traktor Scratch Pro has a bug with Timecoded CD.

Can anyone who has a CDJ to try to replicate this ?

    Thanks

    I have an Idea...
in the start position of the cd u will find the Lead in Position, so always wenn u push play or cue the signal says to traktor here is the lead in position.
    now test this:
set a cue point with the cdj1000 on position 5 sec. or similar...now only the timecode signal without leadin identification will be send, and the deck will be playing in normal relative mode at ur load cue point....imho....so make a test and tell us...

I've done some few tests and it seems that the behavior is as expected.

I will test more and let you know if it is ok.

Thanks you very much for support

i use similar set up and have it as described and working

remember that you must asign a load marker at begining of track AND in preferences have box checked for initially load to cue marker

    Official response:

"a cue marker you set in TraktorPro can not be reached by a CDJ. Either you set
cue points on your external CDj or you set Cue´s in Traktor which you can
reach via the Hot Cues in Traktor."

    Great...

are you saying, that when using cdj's with TSP you cannot load multiple cue points in a track and store them. you can only set the cue point up to store on the cdj's?

i wonder this as i have tried to store a cue point at the beginning of the track and then another "part way through". no way, can i store the one "part way through" - very frustrating.

have followed the instructions and it just doesnt work. have my settings/preferences exactly the same as it says in the instructions. doesnt look like i can store anything other than the start of the track :(

gutted been havin this problem myself only way's around it i've found is to switch my cdj to vinyl mode and just throw the track in like you would on vinyl or again have the track playing but keep pressin the hot cue buttons on my laptop keyboard and throw in from there
