Traktor (Scratch) Pro - MIDI construction & Issues

Thanks a lot! I'll be getting my computer repaired again! (Damn Logic board, now i need to fix the keyboard/mouse board) but once I do that I will definitely check this out and let you know what I do or don't understand. Thanks a lot for your help!

awrite guys does anyone now how to get traktor pro working with omni midi player?

 

Numark Omni- Really ticking me off!

Ive been using the Omni Controller for about three weeks now. Its VERY inconsistent upon starting up with traktor. Like it has a mind of its own. I run the starup Wizard, Import my TSI files, start, restart. Sometime it just wont start up. I also cannot get my LED lights to light up properly witrh the buttons. Im very frustrated . I wont return it b/c it is a great piece of equipment for less that $300. What should i do?

Anyone have a good midi map? Traktor Pro.

I believe a lot of these issues have to do with the fact Numark bundled the Omni with Traktor 3LE and released it earlier than expected.

 

Is the LED Output working for anyone or is it a bug in Traktor Pro. I don´t get Traktor Pro to control the LED´s on my NanoKontrol. (I can keep them lit up on the NanoKontrol but its just internal toggle in the Nano)

 

Alright... here is a tough one to crack (i think):

I need to be able to toggle M#4=2 when keeping a button pressed down.... and when i release the button i don't want it to reset to M#4=0, but instead set the modifier to M#4=1....

the regular function of the modifiers does not allow this but is there some workaround to make it happen (without bome's or other external software)?

 

Working on my DNS-1200s' display

I ran into some issues trying to program my display. I got a lot of stuff working but I'm stuck on a couple of things and I hoping someone can help me out or tell me if I'm wasting my time.

My first issue is getting the pitch fader value to display. So far I can go from 0 (center) to 8 in one direction but when I bring it back to 0 (center) I can't get the values to change in the opposite direction. I tried whole bunch different commands with my n00bie knowledge but no luck.

My other issue is that, on the display there is a 31 segment meter that I assigned to my jog wheel. When I go from dry to wet (fx) I can get the segments to display on in the proper proportionsall the way up, then when I want to go from wet to dry they will shut off but when I get halfway (50%) It starts lighting back up from the halfway point up while going off from the halfway point down.

I'm working real hard on my controllers and I'm close to finishing it off. I can't wait.

I am having trouble and i can't seem to find an answer in any post so i hope i can write about this and some on can answer.

I have a djm700k mixer that I'm tiring to utilize as my controller. I have everything mapped correct but, I cant seem to find out why my headphone cue's don't map out right. I mapped them and Traktor seems to recognize them but, when i go to activate them to cue tracks. I can only get sound from them only when my channel (the channel that is currently playing) by the fader of that channel being all the way up.

Can anyone please help me? I'm new to Traktor and midi controlling but I can see the endless possibilities with it. I just need to get threw this mild stone.

 

Nathan, this does not sound like a MIDI programming issue based on the description I have so far. So, I have a couple of questions. If you controlled this by mouse do you get the behavior you want / expect?

Baed on What I'm reading it sounds like you have have your Output routing setup incorrectly i.e. you might be set to internal mixer mode when using and external mixer (doubtful) and or your headphone mix knob is set to 100% mix.

I think a little more detail is needed to determine the cause of your woes...
What midi commands are you using?
Is your mixer in full Midi Mode, and you are using the internal mixer in Traktor?
Trying to run a hybrid mode using the internal Traktor Mixer and the real mixer as a hardware mixer will not work.

1 x DJM 800

I want to use the Trigger Finger to control my traktor and my cdj's to control

I have found various people in thread with it set up "how" i would like it set up

Now I have downloaded the TKS file but cant seem to get it loaded in to enigma,

Where am i going wrong

I now have a midi cable but cant doit plz help

 

Is a TKS file not a Traktor file? This is not a file compatible with enigma. What version of Traktor are you using Tyronnster?

I downloaded the latest version of traktor and it is working,

My only issue is when I use my cdj to control deck a or B it changes it from absolute to relative mode when using the trigger finger,

Can this be set so it doesnt change

 

I have a vci-100 updated to frm 1.3 with DJTT Kit.
I'm using TPro 1.1.2
I have my own mapping and my problem is this...
I have mapped the FX section of the vci to be exactly as in the GUI of Tpro.
The Problem is that when Switching from Advanced mode to Chained it seems that Traktor is still receiving the midi commands for both modes and sends out midi commands i don't want (LED indication specifically)
Button leds where going off without any reason...
To understand better imagine this...
IN CHAINED mode i have mapped the buttons (SW34,SW35,SW36) of each three fx to be on/off [toggle] with LED Output, but sometimes when depressing the on/off of the first fx (SW34) which in ADVANCED mode is RESET (so in ADVANCED mode it should turn off the leds on SW35,SW36), the LEDS of the other two (SW35,SW36) go off although it should n't, yet in Traktor the buttons remain ON and lighted.

The Mapping is:
In CHAINED mode
SW34-> -toggle- on/off for FX1 with LED output (when ON lighted,when off not lighted)
SW35-> -toggle- on/off for FX2 with LED output (when ON lighted,when off not lighted)
SW36-> -toggle- on/off for FX3 with LED output (when ON lighted,when off not lighted)
In ADAVANCED mode
SW34-> -trigger- Effect Parameter RESET no output
SW35-> -toggle- Effect Button 1 with LED output
SW36-> -toggle- Effect Button 2 with LED output


Why does that happen? I think it has to do with Traktor. When it receives the Note E6 from SW34 it toggles the FX1 in chained to on/off but also resets the advanced mode fx and sends out command for the lights to go off as it should if it was in advanced mode

Seems to me like when switching the two FX Modes the one not active is still receiving and sending notes although it shouldn't

Hi! I have been using Traktor v2.5.3.155 for almost 3 years now, and I feel as though I have mastered the simplicity of this older version of Traktor. I recently acquired an ASIO 2.0 MAYA44 pci soundcard, which allows me to plug a headset into my 2.4 GHz pentium IV PC and monitor my incoming mp3s.
My friend just bought himself a pair of Traktor Scratch control vinyls to be used with his Gemini Turntables and mixer.
I want to know the following:
Is traktor 2.5.3 compatible with these control vinyls?
How do I set up my system?
Do I need to buy any additional software?
Should the decks be plugged into the soundcard, or into the external mixer?
Please describe the regular cable setup for 2 TTs, an external mixer, and a 4 plug sound card.

I have my traktor scratch pro plug'd in to laptop with 2 cdjs so no need to plug to sound card

 

You cannot control Traktor v2.5 with timecode.
You need to buy Traktor Scratch Pro or find a version of the older Traktor Scratch for sale to use timecode with Traktor
Buying the vinyl will not allow timecode control at all.

Please read the FAQ/knowledge Base and the software descriptions.

Yes you still need the Audio 8 or 4 or a Certified mixer to use timecode CDs.

If i have not understood your question mate please give more detail.

Does anyone know in the midi mapping what corresponds to bpm inc and bpm decrease? The buttons that expand and contract the grid? I would love to map these to my controller but cant seem to find them....

I uploaded also the new version of the TSI for the Tpro Beta 1.2 with all the new changes
-4Fx engine
-I also added dual bank on the fx section,this way you can manipulate all 4FX, plus you have 2 more States for the 4 buttons&faders, where you can have:
-State 1: You have the on-off & Dry-Wet buttons of all the FX Engines together
-State 2: You can switch the Type of the FX Engine from Advanced<->Chained

This TSI is new and fully tested, but I haven't found any bugs to it yet


From the file : FULL SETTINGS 090801 for TPro 1.1.2.tsi just load the MIDI part

The Image is the same for both version, the only change is that in 1.1.2 there are not 4fx
