Traktor (Scratch) Pro - MIDI construction & Issues

you need to create different layouts for that
then you can either select the layout with the selector in the traktor header or by mapping the corresponding midi command

 

can you give me a little more to go on please. I see the layouts and i follow what your saying i just don't see any way to map a toggle or something so i can have that window go back and forth without my mouse. Are you talking about the load selected in pref?
just don't see how you would do that in devise mangr.

 

tsi midi mapping done in 1.2.2 do not load in 1.2.4

I cannot get my MIDI mappings done under Traktor 1.2.2 to load properly in 1.2.4.
My selected fx are loaded but the mappings to my Hercules RMX console seems to no longer work under 1.2.4.

I spend so much time in preparing it. Has there been changes to the format? Is there a solution for making sure my 1.2.2 tsi file will work under 1.2.4?

Thanks for any solutions to this problem.

Please also let me know if there is any documents, beside the manual addendum, explaining how to create mappings under 1.2.4. Other tsi for RMX could be useful as well.

I don't know if this has been answered already; I searched the thread for my controller but nothing came up.

Here's my problem: I'm using a Hercules DJ Control MP3 E2. The Hercules website offers a mapping file which can be imported into Traktor. This all works fine, aside from one thing: When a track plays, the jog wheels don't work. When the track is loaded but not playing, everything works fine. Playing the track seems to disable the jog wheels. This annoys me greatly seeing as I use them for small edits to make the beats synchronize.

I've looked through all the Traktor settings but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know of a fix?

Traktor 1.2.4, by the way.

 

it doesn't work (as in scratch) or only works to adjust for tempo?

When i had a Hercules RMX i could only move a track when it was stopped. If a track was playing my jog wheels only worked to adjust tempo. I would have to stop the track to move it forward or backwords.

I know use a VCI-100 and I think touch sensitive jog wheels are required In TP.

 

Yeah, they don't work as in scratch. When a track is playing, they don't adjust the tempo either (there are separate controls for that). They just seem to go dead once a track is playing.

It's rather stupid, because this bug will most likely make me return the product.

Having trouble with my midi controles connectings to traktor.
I use a sinn7 kommodor 25 midi controler. All ings working good till i make a upgrade to version 1.2.4 Now Traktor dont see my midi device. Signal not going in. I lookt in manual and there ir writen this:
1. Connect the MIDI-controller as described in its manual with your computer.2. Open TRAKTOR and go to Preferences > MIDI Setup.3. Activate your controller by double-clicking the Active column in MIDI Input Devices and MIDI Output Devices.
Problem is that what i can't find in preferences - MIDI setup.
What is the problem?

Hello! I obtained it a Numark Total Control and I received it 1 Traktor LE goes mad after activating software but the software with him.
The effects disappear the recorder and all other important things and I can use the program for a playback only.
Anyone have idea? (Excuse me I am Hungarian for the lingual mistakes and I do not speak the English well.)

 

I am using Traktor DJ Studio 3 and I have a pair of American Audio Radius 1000. Can anyone please help me with the Midi command file.

 

I have a brand new bcd3000, using traktor pro... or even le for that matter these issues are still the same. I have 10.6.2. osx.......and I'm having some issues maybe someone here can help me with.

Sometimes the tempo, gain, low, mid, and high knobs will go way out of sync with the controller. If i play a new track the tempo on the new one might go all the way up for no reason when i hit stop on the other... as soon as i touch the tempo slider on the bcd3000 it will return to where its supposed to be. The gain, low, mid, high do this too intermittently and might go all the way up or all the way down. Its very aggravating, and I haven't been able to figure out what to do... any help or advice would be much appreciated.

 

Reloop DJ2IE and Traktor scratch reaction...

I'm having terrible trouble getting my Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Interface Edition to react sharply for scratching! I found the setting in traktor and had a bit of adjustment experimentation but as I'm a midi programming newbie I'm quite lost! Has anyone else managed to set their DJ2IE to recreate a real scratch reaction without a darned delayed reaction and apparent slack finger/platter position to track time match?
If so, please help otherwise I might just have to consider selling and returning to CDJ's which i'd hate to have to do... ?

ps. I'm trying this on my mates Traktor Scratch Pro (1.2.4) just for this reason ie. I don't want to pay for the upgrade and find I'll have to sell!
Also this is on a Macbook Pro with 10.6.3

 

there's a video on djtechtools where the dude turns a knob on his midi controller and it loads a specific fx preset for him, with the parameters set up where he wanted them and everything.

how is this preset and mapped for advanced and chained fx? it would be of great help to be able to cycle thru or quickly summon a familiar fx preset with a button.

 

Do you not think that it would be best to ask this on DJ Tech tools forum?

Cue off beat

Hi. I have mappen my maschine to be my additional controller for traktor scratch pro, and im using it mostly to add samples here and there. Im doing this by creating hot cues, and when i play them alone(only one deck at the time), the cue starts point on! But when i do it in a mix, on top of another track playing in one of the other three decks, its skips half a beat or so, and start way off beat. Not on beat grid 1 where i have set my cue. Is there a way to work around this so that when i hit cue point one, it start exactly there, and not half a grid after?

 

Is the autosync activated on your 'sampler' deck?

You can remember FX settings by taking a snapshot (camera icon next to the fx panel). The default values are then writtent in the traktor preferences xml file.
I may be wrong though

Hi all..
I'm trying to configure the Loop Size midi command in RELATIVE MODE to be controlled by a knob/encoder of a maschine.
When i do this, it seems to work ok but when I do a FIXED LOOP and try to make it shorter, don't let me, while if i do it bigger, then can go back again without prob..very weird

In the original settings is configured in DIRECT MODE and as fader/knob
Why is it not working in relative mode and not working either configured as encoder?

I try to configure the encoders to move the loop or to browse the collection and don't work correctly.. it stops in the middle and goes in the same direction all the time!

I don't know if is a bug or a problem in my config but it's driving me crazy!
Is there any thread talking about maschine + traktor?

I am having trouble setting up my Behringer DDM 4000 to Traktor Pro. (Im a newbie)

Set up:
Behringer DDM 4000
Audio 2 DJ Soundcard

I bought the DDM 4000 today because it is Traktor ready. When I got home, I opened Traktor Pro and imported the TSI File that is included in Traktor Pro. Well I began to try out all the buttons to see if it configured properly, but in fact nothing configured! The LED's on the Behringer worked and all the buttons appeared to be working, but it just wont control the Traktor Pro Software.

Any help or suggestions please? I am new to DJing
