Traktor (Scratch) Pro - MIDI construction & Issues

With the Numark MIXDECK using native support in 1.2.5 (which rocks, btw), sometimes the LED's will go crazy. The longer the set, the more likely this will happen. Random LED's will turn on or off, and the most annoying one is the "Scratch" and "Search" LED's - the modifiers will always switch correctly, but the LED's sometimes will not turn on, leaving both off when one should be lit.

The pitch fader also jumps around a bit when moving it slowly near the 0% range (though it seems to only be a visual glitch).

This happens while using the default MIXDECK tsi configuration that shipped with the unit. Not sure if it's a firmware problem or traktor, so I'm bringing it up here.

 

hi please i want help with setting up the ddm4000 in this listen im using the ddm4000 as a midicontroler with traktor scratch pro but all the midi mappings i set it up ok but i have one problem with setting up the pfl when i try to teach the ddm to learn that accion when i push the button is still transparent and i cannot use the pfl button of the ddm4000 to learn in traktor that accion .....thanks i aprecciate your help

shoot! i bought traktor pro and two x1s but i have a two channel mixer! can i still use all four tracks? i'm an idiot.

 

You can. But only in INTERNAL mixing mode.

 

How about, can I use my two channel mixer with traktor running two tracks?

Got 2 questions from my fellow French users we can't manage to solve:

• The first one is a Led assignment problem for controlers with multi colored leds like the DIcer. We're trying to have a led lit depending on the location, size and activity of loops. (for example having Led 1 lit in red when loop one is active having a 32 beats loop, yellow for 16 etc, and off when loop is inactive. the problem is that all leds are lit if loop is set to ON, while only the "playing" loop should be , and assigning loop lenght values to the colors of Leds).
  
• The second one would be "how to have a Pot setting a control ON when moved and OFF when left alone". Example: A know is assigned to the filter control. We'd like to have the filter set to on when the pot is moving (and changing the filter value) and set back to OFF when the button is released.

If anyone has clues on these, let me know

I don't think the second one is possible

since the knob only sends something if it hits a certain point on it's way the only thing the computer sees it being on one place and usddenly being on another

you'd have to be able to let traktor "wait" for a certain amount of time until it changes a modifier which could affect the on/off state of the filter

 

I'm not a Traktor user, but for the first one (assuming the DIcer works similarly to the Launchpad) the different LED colours are set using different velocity values for the MIDI note triggering the LED.

I'm not sure if/how you set different velocity values for MIDI out commands in Traktor

 

The problem is not changing the color itself, but more finding the right control combination to have only 1 led lit in a specific color.. Ie I have 3 loops in a track, Loop 1 is 16 beats long, loop 2 is 32 and loop 3 is 3 .. and I would like to have Button "1" only lit when loop 1 is active

Hello everybody,

First, sorry for my bad english, i try to do my best.

I have 2 cdjs 400, the control of traktor 1.2.6 is ok, but i just can use play; cue, the jog dial and loop.

My first problem is impossible to do backspin, it don't start directly. the frontspin is realy ok.

The second is, i would like to use effet or hotcue with the cdj, but i have got a lot of difficulties for mapping.

Is there a complete mappeur on the forum , or can someone give me a mapping?

The last one is, i put my external hdd with 40 gb of titles, it turn minum 10 ours and is not finished. i just do import to collection.

Is it normal?

So my most important question is . Is there a complete mapping already doing for my cdjs.

Hi everyone,

I have currently 1x American Audio 1000 & 1x American Audio 3000, both very similar decks however I can only get one of the CDJs on MIDI mode to connect to Traktor. The other deck does not seem to be recognised by Traktor.

Can anyone reccomend what I can do about this?

hi, i got traktor pro there and have it working with the behringer ddm4000.
the only problem is, well the big problem is, that I havent got any sound.

I also don't really know what traktor can do for me?

I may sound like a complete nub but still, help please.
