I have an akai LPD8 using Trakaor scratch pro on a mac book pro.

When I map one of the knobs to say something like volume on deck A and then switch the program bank so the same knob is controlling the volume of deck C, the fader value on the software jumps to the exact position of the knob..(where it was left on deck a) rather than allowing for a soft take over to let me pick it up in its relative position of deck C and then change it accordingly.

I have the "soft takeover' boxed ticked of course on both decks and have them both on direct mode.

This is driving me nuts!...I would love to hear if anyone doesnt have this problem because then I will take it back. Or if it is a recognised issue is it worth getting another controller or do all controllers have this problem with TSP? I am running the latest version updated to that latest update.

Anybody knows the best way to map the apc40 encoders (w/ the led rings)? Response is really glitchy no matter what settings i've tried.
If i map it as a knob/fader instead of an encoder, the response is good, but then i don't get the leds.
I've searched the web and found no answer that solved this...

APC40 + Traktor Scratch Pro 2 LED issues

I recently upgraded from Traktor Scratch Pro 1 to Traktor Scratch Pro 2 and when adding input mapping data to my APC40 controller mapping tonight traktor2 decided to stop behaving correctly. It seems what's happening is that traktor only sends output data on startup (the only output data I have is the LED output data for the 40-pad grid on the APC). After I press any of the pads the LEDs turn off. I have them set to control 4 decks and the light-up pads are where I get my information on what's going on in traktor (i.e. the pads mapped to effects are green and blink when effects are turned on, the sync button blinks when a track is synced, etc). Without the pads lighting up it's very difficult to remember what pad does what on the grid.

I know it is not a hardware problem because my friend's APC40 has the same problem when we plug his APC40 into my copy of TP2, but when I load up the exact same mapping in my or his old version of traktor 1 we do not have any problems with the LEDs! (Of course not, as we've had this mapped for many months now).

Why is Traktor 2 breaking my mapping? Any idea on how to fix this so traktor will send output data (if this is indeed the problem)? I can attach the mappings if you think it will help you solve my problem, but alas, I believe I have encountered a new bug to add to the TP2 bug list. NI, where is my beta-tester payment?

The worst part is that I have a gig tonight and will have to scrap my entire set using the new sample deck features, and stick with TP1 if I cannot resolve this!

Thank you for any help you can offer me!

Nope, No detail to help with.

@Janbaz here is how the conversation reads:

Janbaz: In my controller mapping I have stuff broken plz help.
Phil: I'll go find the stuff controller and will report back when I find what is broken.

I'm having the same issues as Siccus. I'm using the APC40 and am keeping it quite basic as I am new to Traktor (now using Traktor Scratch Pro 2), and new to mappings (analog DJ for 12 years though). I'm following well known instructions (DJ Tech Tools) on output mappings for LEDs and while it works with my APC40 initially as soon as any LED is pressed it loses it's LED state and ceases to work altogether.

Can we get confirmation from the Moderators that this is a known bug? That would put me at ease that I'm not just a rookie making silly mistakes :D and will continue to work on it knowing a fix will likely be in one of the upcoming iterations of the platform.

Still must say I love TSP2, it's fantastic overall, just really want to get some clarity on this mapping issue I'm having so I know whether to move forward or correct something on my end, cheers!

I just got Traktor Scratch Pro 2 for my numark stealth control (basically same as omni). When I go through the set up wizard, I assign the stealth control and do the correct steps and so on. Once I get started I run into a few problems:

    1. The fx knob, the fx select button, the par knob, and the fx on/off button don't work at all on DECK B (right side of controller).

    2. There is no sound whatsoever in DECK B

Everything else works perfectly fine, even the LED buttons. Whats wrong? How do I fix this?

I tried using the tsi file that Numark provides for Traktor Pro and Stealth Control but makes my controller go insane! Does the tsi file work only on previous Traktor versions or what is the problem?

    Please help!

I'm having a very similar problem. I'm using an HP G62 (i3 processor, 4G RAM - I dunno what else you guys might need to see) running Windows 7. I'm using the Numark Stealth Controller and I'm running everything through the Audio 8 DJ hardware that came with Traktor Scratch Pro. After downloading all the necessary drivers and the mapping from the official page for the Numark Stealth controller (the TSI files), the browser knob and crossfaders (all of them) don't work. I know the Stealth works fine with Traktor LE and I'd be happy to temporarily downgrade just to do this next gig coming up, but I have no idea how to do that... I lost my Traktor LE serial so I've only got the whole Traktor Scratch Pro (1) package as of the latest update.

Any ideas at all? I'll provide any additional information you guys need. Thanks for your time.

Ok, i need to understand why TP2 can't import my MidiFighter .tsi from TP1...

I've tried to import but it doesn't work. Right now my midi setup is totally broken, i've spend hours doing that template so please, don't tell me that i need to do it again...

From what I've gathered through trying to find an answer to my own problem, I think .tsi might not be the right format for TP2? Do you need a TKS instead?

    Traktor Pro 2 & Mixdeck

I've hit some major issues with Traktor & Mixdeck.

No matter what I do with the settings / config / or the order in which I connect and switch on the mixdeck I cannot get them to read each other.

when I run the wizard it still doesn't work. Traktor vaguely recognised that the mixdeck is there when I switch the power off and on again, but a few moments later says "please connect..."

I've updated the Mixdeck drivers and re-installed Traktor Pro 2.

    AARRRgghhhh! Help please.

    Thanks.

Traktor Scratch Pro 2 plus Kontrol X1

Hi all, this is my first post here, so I would really appreciate any advice, I have scoured the forum and I can't see anyone with the same problem, if I have missed something then I apologise in advance and please point me in the right direction!

Basically I have upgraded from Traktor Pro to Scratch Pro 2 and use an Audio 4 soundcard along with the Control CD's in the CDJ's. I also hooked up my Kontrol X1 for things like beat juggling and cue point launching, but unfortunately it randomly takes over and knocks out the DVS system? it seems to be a midi mapping issue, hence I have posted this on here? it basically blocks the Play and Cue options on the DVS system and I can only do stuff from the X1? It also means I have no use of the CDJ's at that point too so speeding up and adjusting pitch etc just dies? It's a nightmare mid way through a set, as I have to quickly switch to a CD for the next track and then restart Traktor and re-calibrate all over again? Anyone have a similar experience or any idea why this would happen? If I detach the X1 everything runs smoothly and there is no issue?

Thanks again for any help you give.

    Hi,
Like the last post, I too am new to Forum posting ways, and also to Traktor.

I am using Traktor Pro 2.0.3 together with an Allen & Heath 4D. (both new to me)
I have wrapped my head about the majority of the mapping features, except this...and for me this is vital. So...

-- Aim: Delete and store a hotcue at the same time, with the same button. Any suggestions?

-- History: I used to have the torq/xponent where you would press a 'shift+button(1)' and it would save a hotcue (e.g.) 1 to that button one. Then pressing 1 (without shift) and the controller would CUP that cue point.

    Any suggestions plz ? :)

    Hi there,

I'm totally lost with Mixdeck and Traktor Pro 2. I'm running the demo version of it.

The decks are so sensitive that scratching and searching is impossible. I found a way to adjust the scratch sensitivity though but couldn't get the search mode very accurate. I also mapped the effects once but now I apparently clicked some wrong button in the settings and it's all gone.

Well the effects mapping is something I can redo, but how can I adjust the decks so I could actually use them? And how do I map the EQ knobs so that they match Traktor LED display?

Does anybody have tsi file or something? I've been trying to find some kind of solution for couple of days now and I'm pretty close to give up. It's a pity that the software problems makes the solid hardware feel like a toy.

    Thank you in advance.
