    Answering my own questions again...

In their infinite wisdom, NI have decided to call the midi-command for Beat Jump, wait for it...

    "Cue/Loop Move"
(as long as you have the move panel set to Beat Jump, that is)

    As you were.

    Xcellent!
You need to make this series sticky, or at least start a Modifiers topic.
    Xtremely useful information.
    Thanks!

    I have a question:

I have my Xone 1D all setup the way I want. If, say, I go to import MIDI settings for my SCS.3D's, is that going to blow away my Xone 1D settings? Or do they merge?

The .tsi file doesn't look very editable like the .tks ones were.

not if you save off your xone settings and then make a new one for your scs3d

I`m a Xponent user, in traktor 3 when i push the jog, the scratch go on and can move the deck scratching.Whitout push the jog i can bend pushing the side of the jog,in Traktor PRO some MIDI commands are missed and hai have some problems.
When i set the "scratch on" comand and "scratch" command all is ok but i can`t bend whit jog whit the side of the jog, only scratch whit the top of the jog pushed.
I add the "CD-DJ jog" together whit "scratchs"commands and can bend pushing the side of the jog, when i push the top of the jog i can scratch but the CD-DJ command interfere whit "scratch on" command, and the song don`t stop when pushing the top of the jog.
The rotatory command is not a solution for this.
Any solution playing whit modiffiers or anything?

    Thanks

    P.D:Sorry for me english.

    Key lock confusion

Hey Phil....is there a way, using the magic midi modifiers to turn off the key lock while a deck is paused or stopped?

As I mentioned before, when key lock is engaged, there is barely any sound while scrolling backward through a track. I dont know if this is suppose to be this way...but it sure is frustrating.

I tried assigning the key lock to toggle on/off using the PLAY/PAUSE button, which works, but then it gets defeated once I use the CUE button and often the feature becomes reversed.

In T3, when key lock was engaged, and you paused a deck, it somehow bypassed the key lock and you were able to audibly hear the track as you were scrolling backwards or forward in equal volumes. This doesnt seem to be the case with TP.

So I though with the elusive magic of midi modifiers I could program the key lock to turn off while the deck is stopped regardless of what stops it. And turn on whenever the deck is in play status.

    Is this possible?

Can anyone tell me why after *learning* a key, it moves other parameters too? for instance my third effect amount also moves my master volume and deck b gain.

    They aren't on same channel.
    thx in advance.

Erm, anyone managed to find 'fine tempo' in the MIDI section? I use the line faders on my Numark TC as 'fine pitch' to complement the 'coarse pitch' on the other set of faders, which enables me to have better control. Can't find the right setting in TSPro. Any suggestions?

so how long is this course? i'd like to know how many lessons are ahead and how often they'll be posted...or if they're already somewhere, please point me in that direction and i'll do my best to understand.

is "modifiers" something specific to this new midi version or just Traktor Pro jargon? i'm certain there's a comprehensive article or book i can read.

(sorry if i seem impatient. i'd just like to get all this midi assigning out of the way so i can focus on actually using the software)

    I have a midi question :

When u import the tki file for the denon dn-s1200, it is configured for 1 player ? I can make it work with 1 player so is it possible to edit the tki file for 2 players ?

And if not, how do you control 2 decks with 1 player ?

ps: the interface now is just superb, nice job.

    Thank you ,

    I got a question:

My Xone 1d is set to control 4 decks on T3. The 4 faders control the effect amount for each deck.
How can I set up my 1d to achieve the same result on TP? I tried to map each fader to control both on/off effect on each deck and the D/W amount of the effect, but obviously when I use the effect on two or more channels it messes up because all faders are controlling the d/w amount of the effect and not the single deck.
    Solution anyone?

    Peace

    No problem!

BTW, Relative Fader/Knob is also great for adjusting the sensitivity on other kinds of midi-functions. For example, I found the default settings for the built-in Filter knob to go too far at each end - i.e. if you turn the knob all the way in either direction, too much of the signal is filtered out. But then thanks to Silek65 in this thread(scroll down to the last post on the first page), I realised that I could limit its range using Relative Fader/Knob.

BTW, can someone explain how to link to a particular post within a thread, rather than just to the top of the page?

I have still problem with my two CDJs 400 and Traktor PRO (the same like version 3.4) I cant control two CDJs only one... there is bug on vista but why the guys from native instruments just fix it? There is the same problem for version 3.3, 3.4, 3.4.1 and now traktor pro.

can somebody tell me why they didnt fix this bug?

    its shame :(

I'm having the same type of midi issue where a midi control moves multiple parameters without being assigned to do so.

Trigger Finger knob C7 insists on doing whatever I assign to fader F3 (on the same Trigger Finger).

    Provided XONE:4D Settings Wonky?

So I just got my Pro upgrade today, and put it in. But alas, the NI-provided mappings for the XONE:4D don't seem to be anywhere even remotely close to the Traktor 3, or the Allen & Heath provided overlays for Traktor.

I understand that the looping and effects have been improved in ways I don't yet fully understand, but I would have expected the mappings to at least attempt to mirror the behavior of Traktor 3.

Am I missing something? And if these new mappings are supposed to be the "right" way to leverage Traktor Pro, are NI or A&H going to provide some overlays that match? Or at least some documentation on how they're supposed to work (without analyzing the configuration by hand for hours)?
