    Hello there!
First post on the forum :-D

Yesterday I bought Traktor Scratch Pro, awesome software etc etc...

    But I've got two problems:

    - It seems that I can't play anything from Windows Media Player now that the Audio 8 DJ is plugged in...
I've checked all the configs but I can't handle this out... On the other hand if I run Ableton & Reason I can hear the sound... so wassup?

    - Sometimes one of the two decks (while playing  ) start playing backward, destroying my set... I've tried to calibrate the Timecode, but sometimes this get crazy...
To say something more, I've got a shitty turntable, and sometimes when I play normal vinyls the sub basses get into the needle, starting a never-ending low noise... Is possible that THIS IS the problem?

Thanks in advance to you all!

    Greetz from Turin,
    Kai.

-Mediaplayer: You need to set up the application's output device. Not sure how that is done, because Windows Mediaplayer is a piece of bloatware I very seldom use :)

-Timecode: If your player has a master tempo-feature, you should disable it. If you're using a turntable instead of a cd-player, this is propably not the issue. Also, did you remember to calibrate the input levels (and choose the correct setting in the Audio8) ?

I've already setted up everythin, the outputs are routed to my MobilePre USB, but nothing...

I'm using turntables... how do I calibrate the inputs levels? I use to click on the vinyl design on the Traktor interface, then Reset and Calibrate...
    What else?

    Thanks!

That should take care of it; assuming that you get nice round (or as close to round as possible) tracking signal from the turntable. If you don't, you might have some problems with cabling, stylus or some other part of the analogic signal.

I just have to say this, even though I know of only a handfull of vinyl turntables that have this feature, but do check that yours doesn't have a "master tempo"/"key lock" function built in. If it does, that needs to be turned off. But as said, it is very rare (and actually rather disturbing on my opinion) that a turntable would have such feature; for example, I only know of a handfull of Stanton and Numark players that have it.

mine is a Numark TT1650 and I'm sure that there's not any Master Tempo or Key Lock function.
this problem appears random while playing tracks, but without any suggestion (for ex any defined track, or any volume or something else...)
