When I broadcast using Nicecast it only plays deck 1 pre-fader. I've got the source set as Traktor, I can't see where i'm going wrong, any ideas?

Broadcast from the sound card rather than from Traktor.

    Hi all.

I'm stuck in exactly the same boat on this one.

I'm running Traktor Pro, Audio 8 and Nicecast. Anyone been successful in setting this little lot up?

    Thanks.

Check the way you have your outputs set in Traktor. You ought to be able to use this combo with no problem; if you are getting one of the decks it seems to indicate the problem is somewhere in the traktor setup.

I haven't tried this yet but this is what the guy's from Nicecast suggested.

It looks like Traktor Pro is using a nonstandard method of audio playback. One thing that might work is if you set Nicecast to use MegaMix.

To do so, follow these steps:

    1. Make sure that Nicecast is not currently transmitting.

    2. With Traktor selected as the audio source in Nicecast, go to the Input tab and click "Advanced"

    3. Select "Hijack all audio streams (MegaMix) and click OK.

    4. Try transmitting as before.

I shall give it a go tonight and report back.

I use the Audio 8 and an external mixer in my setup FYI.

If you're using an external mixer, you need to nicecast from the output of the mixer, not from the Traktor application. The workaround you suggest probably won't broadcast your mixer activity, just the streams mixed together at full volume. You need the output of the mixer to go back into the computer (you can do this using the audio 8, just connect an RCA from an output to an input). Then you want to broadcast that signal. So you can set that up in nicecast to broadcast from the sound card. The only way I'm aware of to do it while setting the nicecast to use traktor is if you're using internal mixing.

    Hi, Solved this one, finally!

    Basically as you rightly suggested.

I ran Master 2 output from my Vestax mixer into channels 5&6 input on the front of the Audio 8. I fired up Nicecast and after clicking the source tab I selected Audio device and the Audio 8. I then hit the advanced tab and selected channels 5&6 as the input device settings.

Thanks for the input though Proben, much appreciated.
