    Hi

I am new to traktor and have recently bought a macbook pro to run it on.
Everything as far as I can see is set up and seems ok when I start to play a track. However, traktor seems to automatically change from relative mode or absolute mode half way through a track into internal plackback (the 'play' symbol lights up and the platter stops turning.) I am using timecode CD's with Denon 3500's.

Why is this happening? Have I missed a setting?

    Thanks in advance guys.

Just installed Traktor Scratch Pro 1.
I'm using the Audio 8 driver.
I'm using the timecode CD's that came with Traktor scratch pro 1.

Make sure you are running the latest version - 1.2.7
And download and burn the v2 timecode

And make sure you're either using the latest (3.0) or 2.0.1.5 drivers fpr your interface

Thanks Guys. Where can I get the V2 timecode (sorry if that seems a lazy question, but I want to make sure I download it properly!).

    Thanks again

The drivers (2.0.15 or 3) are only available for windows machines. What do you suggest for a mac?

Ah no! They aren't sorted. Traktor is still skipping when im playing tracks. It will play and then randomly start at an earlier point again whilst playing. When I change and use track 3 on the timecode (version 2) it won't skip so much but will randomly switch from relative/absolute mode to the play symbol. Why is this happening. I have a new MacBook pro and it happens when I run it at 32 or 64bit. I have a gig on Saturday... :S

I've had a look and will try when I get back to see if I have the lastest firmware on my Denon 3500's.

The problem is during playback it sometimes will just jump 10-20 seconds back on the track. No gap or silence, just a random jump back. Annoying for in the bedroom, a nightmare for a gig. It might be to do with me trying to set up a cue point by moving the platter anticlockwise. Sometimes traktor doesnt let me go further back on a track, it just stops. I get frustrated and after trying to get the marker back to the point in the track i want, sometimes traktor will give way and let me start moving back witrh the platter again. Could I be unintentionally messing up and confusing traktor? It is quite a simple task im trying to achieve?

    Hope this makes sense!

You probably know about this, but have you done the simple things like disabling your wifi and other devices you don't need, not sure if this is needed for macs but just a suggestion.

Same problem here, but I'm on vinyl.
Left deck goes midset in internal mode and I can't fix it without a restart.
Right deck goes sometimes in internal mode whenever I touch the record, but I can fix it back.
    Weird.

Changed the audio driver and fingers crossed!

Having the same issues here. Scratch Pro 2 (Win) with audio 8 and denon 3700 using Hybrid Mode. This has only started since I installed the 2.0.2 Update.

    Yeah been through that.
I did my gig and it worked ok, so long as i didnt use my turntable to look for any part of the track, as for some reason this seems to mess up playback.

I got to a certain point in the night and the tempo was out on one of my decks according to traktor. I'm not sure how this happened?

There just seems to be so many teething problems, and I dont know where to start. Ideally I need a session with someone with the same setup as me or a traktor expert to ensure everything Im doing is correct!

Also, towards the end of the night, the window showing the overview of the whole track did not load it - which was a pain too.

No more on this? Really gets annoying when while scratching or just queing a song, it all of a sudden changes to internal mode and starts playing. Update 2.0.3 made no difference.

Its weird, because TSP used to run really well on my old Dell Inspiron, which was a knackred old thing. I upgrade to a Macbook Pro i5, and all of a sudden am getting issues. This makes me question a Macbook TSP setting, rather then my Denon's as I did not have issues before.

I will have another look tonight. I may re-install everything and just start from scratch again.
