i just bought traktor scratch for my g5. i'm running 10.5.5 (leopard).

i didn't initially know about the problems installing traktor scratch on leopard.

so when i tried to install it, i installed NIUSBAudio-10.4-Installer-2.2.2.pkg first, then restarted, then i tried to install Traktor Scratch Installer. and all it did was look like it was going to install, it stopped at "47 items" then just quit. the traktor folder is empty. then i tried to install AUDIO 8 DJ Settings Installer and it asks to plug in the Audio 8 DJ interface, which i did, and nothing happened. no lights on the Audio 8, no registering of the device in system profiler.

after uninstalling and reinstalling to find the same results, i looked on the internet. read there are problems and i have seen the links to all the Leopard installer update links on the internet and on this site. ALL of them do not work. i've tried it in safari and firefox and either the page is blank, or the download never starts.

what is going on? do i have a dud? should i return this? i feel that at least some lights on the Audio DJ 8 should come on? i cannot install any software on the CD! why don't the links work? does someone have the files needed on another site?

i'm getting very frustrated. please help if you can, i would really appreciate it.

    thanks.

[update] i managed to get the traktor scratch software installed but i am still not having any luck with the audio 8 dj interface.

i went into NI USB system preferences and it says there is no USB device attached. i tried other USB ports, and another USB cable and nothing works.[/update]
