ok. if we see "good results" from practicing we will have at least 9 month to design and build something in a new color... it should be enough ;-)

    My Setup

I had a better setup, but I lost most of it in my recent divorce. But this gets the job done.

    My setup,

    • 2 customized SL1200M3D's (colored leds and an paintjob)
    • Ecler EVO5
    • Macbook
    • Sennheiser HD25
    • Syrincs M3-220DT monitor set
    • Traktor Scratch (i have the complete package but don't use the multicore cables and the soundcard anymore because of the EVO5)

Geez, the Evo 5 is MASSIVE....looks like it could eat those turntables as a light snack

Here is my little setup. It will be completed in near future by a bigger monitor on top of the mixer

really? why do you prefer a rack set up to tables?

The height is perfect for me to mix wether I´m standing or sitting in front of the rack.
Everything is inside the Rack and I just have to plug my laptop in. When it´s not used I can drive it away and it only needs small space.

    Please help!

Can anyone identify the mixer in DJ Tyrell's rig? I like his minimalist setup for sure!

Do those drum pads kick out midi messages or audio samples?

The computer sees the USB RB drumset as a videogame controller, so it spits out controller data.

you can use a joystick to midi/qwerty keypress utility to make it talk to whatever program you want.

unfortunately, i haven't found a decent XP joystick to midi/ qwerty keypress utility, most on the net have stopped development...

for now i just use drum machine (http://andrewrudson.com/main.php) , but i have latency issues because i can't use my ASIO drivers...
