    Hey DJ Dab

Verbatim makes printable labels for those CD-R's to make them look like 45's.

That's a very clean custom controller setup.

that's a sweet portable setup dJdAb!

how is it performance wise? a 1ghz celeron m would have me a little worried... and how are the modified xp10s - are they still touch sensitive with the cds attached?

    awesome none the less.

I know, I just need to find some of those printable CDRs. I just used the orange to go with Traktor.

My stuff is really dialed in... no problems at all. But I did put in some serious work to get it running right. CPU meter stays at a steady 33% maybe. no spikes either.

And yes the XP10 are still touch sensitive but with a 1.5" more of surface area. Scratching is way more accurate now! Of course I scratch the same now as I did in '88 but damn, I've got it really close now.

nice djdAb! The control surfaces look really good and I assume you could attach a larger external display?

Actually It does look small but it's quite easy to make out. I've setup buttons to control midi messages that pull up details, favorites and eq settings, etc. That way everthing else is nice and big, when those functions aren't needed.

But, sometimes I bring the docking station for the UMPC and wire it up to a bigscreen / projector for all to see.

<insert obligatory "sorry for the crappy phone camera quality" apology here>

This is in the corner of my bedroom, the highest recorded capacity for this venue is about 6 people.

thats a 24" monitor with a media center hooked up to it running winamp + milk drop visualisation over the soundcard line input from the BCD3000.

    new stack

I configured some big complicated filters this week they are on the far right the sound returns to the console on the eight foldback channels. THe filters are designed to mix two tracks from traktor along with a Dj who is playing cds trough an xzone 92. Most of the coming performance will consist of downtempo and progressive jungleish breaks.

nice... I use a very similar eq layout but my transport keys are on the bottoom row.

I like the shape on the numeric pad.. super tetrical

are the orange keys for looping ... I don't understand how to make a modifier key act by itself.
