haha yeah, i am big fan of her radio show!! and breaks in general, she sent me that postcard as i won a competition of her radio 1 webpage.

Thanks! This is probably dj table V7.0 Ive been through quite a few set ups, but i think i finally put something together that does the trick. Ive left space for a couple of cdj1000's but unfortunately since the MK3's are coming out soon everyone seems to be out of stock. Anyway, they should slot in nicely when the new model come out.

Hi there. First post, got my FS yesterday and I'm loving it.

Quick question (and I promise a picture later):

I currently have to leave my laptop right in front of one of my speakers. It has a heavy wooden cabinet, but still I'm worried: will it damage the computer or the screen?

Hey Sete,

If you are using a laptop you dont need to worry about the monitor. LCD monitors are not affected by the magnets in speakers like older CRT monitors.

Actually, you should be ok. As long as your lappy isn't inside the speaker box, sat on the magnet on the back of the speaker. But I think it's worth pointing out that there is a negligable risk.

hey if you check this i was wondering if this is a common problem. i have final scrach also and i was wanting to know if you have problems with having a humming noise when you try to play a standard record switching over to phono??

I do sometimes, I generally just have to segregate my wiring inside my cabinet nicely to make sure theres no interference, however it goes away rapidly. Sounds like you have a ground loop somewhere.

Hi Rory, what do you think about the hercules DJ control on your table. can you say it's pretty good to control traktor (3) or is it just something to play with ??
