Hi All - Welcome to my kitchen, where delicious espresso and tea, my mixtapes, and my carefully constructed music are all brewed.



I'm sure veterans of the forum will be familiar with all of the controllers here, but just in case, from left to right,

Maschine mk2, Traktor Kontrol F1 (x2), Traktor Kontrol X1 mk2, Traktor Kontrol Z2 (all Native Instruments), custom Technics 1200s (mk2) Maschine (original), Behringer BCF2000, Keith McMillen Instruments QuNeo, QuNexus, SoftStep (below, next to the kitchen subwoofer), an iPad, and a Novation 61SLmk2.



I typically use Ortofon Elektro cartridges.











For the most part, Traktor and Maschine are to my left when I play, and Ableton, Max/MSP, Reaktor, sometimes more Maschine, any live instrumentand all visuals are to the right.

It's just been Zeus, my yellow labrador retriever, and me all summer. I'll be on my own in my new place too.

 

Here is my Traktor and Itch setup, featuring my new Polished Aluminum Custom Crane Laptop Stand. McIntosh watt meters and 2 V7's on top shelf, Z2, F1, and X1mk2 on bottom.

Foxhound Setup

I may have been bitten by the gear lust bug a few years ago but I do use it all to some extent. When I play out it's just the decks, mixer, dicers, one F1 and the X1.

I also have a Stanton SCS1 setup that is collecting dust and a Kaossilator and Kaospad that are doing absolutely nothing. My friday night special is a Stanton SCS.4dj that has immediately been replaced with Traktor DJ. Now here's hoping that the new S4 allows Traktor DJ control.

 

Current live setup when I need to take a console (left to right):

X1mk2, Xone:92, X1 Original, F1, Fireface UC (slides into Kontrol Stands under X1 & F1 so it's out of the way), MacBook Air on Crane Stand, RCF ART310A foldback. Also made up a custom 8 way TS to RCA loom from the UC to 92, and a custom 4 way from the 92 for FoH & F/B, makes setup so much quicker.

How you finding the 4Trak?

For my purposes at least, it seems like the perfect Traktor controller, pretty much does everything!

 

no Loop Recorder section....

thats why i use the S4 for this, and a ton of other reasons.
but looks like some serious Environment

 

There is second mapping on numark website where cue points on decks C/D works as sample decks (4slots for a deck) and there is Loop Recorder secton already mapped, also You can map it by youself. Anyway I sold 4Trak, good piece of equipment, weel build, but now I've got Kontorl Z2 and also I bought Kontrol F1.
