    Hello,

for the most part I am loving traktor, however, I am running into an issue where when I start the application with the DJ8 plugged in, Traktor does not detect timecode. It is set to work with the DJ8 as the sound card, the DJ8 leds are lighting up for the signal being good from the turntables. when this is the case, the RST button does nothing, when you press it, it displays "waiting..."

If I start traktor SP with the timecode running it will see it. If I press the RST button when this is the case, It will reset and re-calibrate my timecode signal properly.

    Any ideas on this?

    Thanks!

Have u checked ur audio settings?
sometimes, when u start traktor without the dj8 u need to change the audiocard, after that happend u only need to select the audio8 again in the prefences and everything will be fine.

    Thanks for the reply,

When I start traktor, the DJ8 is plugged into USB. I checked, and all soundcard settings are correct, it displays the DJ8 as the audio device. It only detects it if the timecode vinyl/cd are running when the app is launched.

Not sure if this helps at all..

    Thanks for the input

Everything is as far up to date as is available , I checked for updates, This seemed like an issue that an update would resolve. Service Center returns no updates for drivers or Apps.

    Traktor Scratch Pro 1.1.2

    ADJ8 Driver 2.3.5

    Mac OS X 10.5.7
    2.26GHZ

I've experienced the same issue with the 1.1.2 and also with the current beta.

The problem comes up when i launch traktor after i've plugged in the usb cable, then i have replug it with traktor running and then traktor recognizes the timecodes.

i think for me it doesn'make a difference if the timecodes are actually spinning while i'm replugging or not...

Yes, my timecode assignments are correct when I launch the app. Traktor sees the DJ8, but just no timecode.

I have not tried unplugging the the USB cable once traktor is started.. I will try that this evening.

maybe only a bug in the Macintosh Version?

    me too!

I first bought sratch duo a week ago and it was happening. I upgraded to Scratch Pro thinking it will fix but it did not. I start Traktor and the timecode is not recognized. I have to quit and start Traktor again before it recognizes. In my case it says that it the calibration failed (unkown medium) but it works.

I'm using Traktor Scratch Pro version 1.1.2.004 on Mac OS 10.5.7
    Audio 4 soundcard

I'm using Numark HDX CD Players

    no the actual cable.
I'm not even sure its the correct solution but it mysteriously works for me now. I had an extra USB cable laying around so I replaced the Native Instrument USB cable that came with Traktor and now it works. I have it in the same port.

i have exprienced the same problem right before the gig, as i started the left cdj i dont want to restart the program ,so i had to play the half from traktor the half from cd, its funny that it cant detect the right cdj timecode, after relaunched the program, everything worked fine.
