Traktor Upgrade causing skips/stutters

    Hi all,

I tried searching for this problem in the forums and although I found some topics related to my questions... the answers were not specific to my problem.

I've been running Traktor Pro in my laptop (Dell Pentium Dual Core) for over 2 years with no problems at all. This weekend (like the idiot that I am) I upgraded to the most recent version too close to a gig and I couldn't test it at any length. Remember Murphy's law? I started experiencing skips/stutters... not very extreme, but quite noticeable. Luckily I always carry an old laptop with PC DJ and I pulled the party off, although under a lot of stress.

The questions are... are there any fixes for this problem? If not, can I downgrade the the previous version? And how?

By the way... when I upgraded, the software for my Traktor Audio 2 also upgraded. I guess that when I find out how to downgrade, I will try downgrading one at a time.

Thanks so much for any help that you can provide,

    Frank Gonzalez

    I noticed this too
I think it was happening when scrolling quickly through the library.
I changed my latency to a higher setting and it stopped.

    Thanks Zephry,

The stuttering happened, while I was not running any functions at all. I changed my latency to a higher setting and it continued. I also turned off my wireless card and any other software that I could, like antivirus...

    - try disabling multi-core, as explained in the readme installed with your upgrade
    - Traktor 2.0.3 has been on your hard drive the entire time, in the folder '2.0.3'

I had the same problem on a dell core2duo laptop. Disabling multi core and then restarting the software worked for me. Latest upgrade fixed another small issue I had as well.

    HI y'all!

I disabled Multi-core at the Bios level (at least I think I did) and I still have the stuttering issues. I'm doing to try to uninstall the upgrade tonight and install the previous version. Will check back. Again, thanks for the help and I open to other suggestions.

before uninstall, did you read one of the previous answers?

2.0.3 (as far as you had it installed) will still be there, in it`s own folder.
so, before uninstalling, try to launch this "-.exe-file" instead of the newest one,
wich will be in folder 2.1.x.
if this resolves your troubles, just go on using the "old" version.
