Traktor Pro on an IPAD via Iteleport

Just in case someone doesn't know what's going on. (these days all djs are comp savvy ) Iteleport is an app for remote desktop control. That's the mac mini's(the new one) desktop on the ipad. it's connected thru an adhoc network.
The mouse control of the waveform is good.
YO! Native Instruments. I want a wifi deck with a single vertical waveform, ..puh..lease!

 

I dont understand what your tapping on the screen? You look like your taping on the favourites bar.

 

i'm using iteleport in mouse mode

I know what you're thinking, doesn't that dfeat the touch-screen purpose. My initial tests(and it's still new to me) with the touchscreen mode had some drawbacks.
iteleport has two modes; mouse and touchscreen. in mouse mode, it doesn't matter where you touch the screen, what matters is where the mouse is. So, i'm tapping on hot-cue(on-screen) buttons and the waveform itself.

Some problems with touchscreen mode are; 1) wave-form manipulation/speed/amount is exagerated. However, there may be settings that could fix this. 2)it's very difficult to touch many small controls. Yes, you can zoom in in typical iphone/ipad fashion, but some of the controls don't seem to work when zoomed in.

So maybe now you're thinking, "I could just do that with a mouse." that's not true either. You can't move the waveform as precisely and do those scribble type motions with a mouse. This has got me thinking a lot about possible set-ups for Traktor with the Ipad. I'd like to see just the deck section, the box with the waveform and cue, loop, etc, in an Ipad app. the key for the dj app is setting them up with pages. Deck on one page, browse, fx, etc. each on it's own page. The performance over wifi is there. Now we just neeed the apps.

touch-screen mode

i changed the display res, mad traktor bigger on the ipad. using touch-screen mode now. I think this is another example of what a great and versatile program traktor is. it does anything you ask of it, in any way you want.
