MidiPads with Traktor

Hello there,

I have written MidiPadz Lite for the iPad and just released the full version. Looks like a drumpad controller, but can do much more. Like for example, you can use the pads to send x/y values while still tapping them. This is great for Traktor Pro, where you can control the FX with the pads. The sliders have integrated VU meters and you can see e.g. the track volume.

A little messy but if you like glitchy "Warp Records" style sounds you will appreciate this unusual application of Traktor. The MIDI automation is done in Ableton and I should document that actual "layering" process but I didn't even plan to make this video, just liked the groove and wanted to share with my friends who haven't a clue what it means to "play the computer".

Loop Mashups Anyone?

You're latest video shows you've been busy programming your new rig and learning it. Pretty much every effect you throw in works well. This is not trivial in Traktor (especially if you do not use an external compressor).

Where to next? Beat juggling? Samples? In particular I'm wondering: have you been getting into loops? Same question goes out to anyone here.

It can be a lot of effort when, let's face it, the audience couldn't care less. For me that is the most exciting aspect of Traktor so I do it for myself and am dying to meet someone else in the community that gets a buzz out of playing with that too. Am also hoping to meet others creating mashups live, unrehearsed.

Unfortunately my only Traktor demo videos would (a) only appeal to glitch fans (b) are slightly sloppy (unless you call them "glitch++" or something but I hope to contribute something of more general interest soon. Have penty of audio examples but not video ones yet.
