Traktor with new MacBook Pro M1 chip

Has anyone tried Traktor with the new line of MacBook Pros? I'm keen for some reassurance it works well before parting with my cash!

I have an M1 Air and it is MUCH faster than my 2018 MacBook Pro. Traktor works great.

The latest Traktor Pro 3.4.1 update addresses performance and compatibility with M1 Macs (and Big Sur). I have not tried it yet, but according to documentation, it is merely a maintenance update, and it also fixes a few other issues. It should be safe and probably recommended for users of M1 and Big Sur. For those who have had Flushing Background Tasks problems before, this update also claims to have fixed that. My fingers are crossed.

 

Hi all, I have installed the current version on a Macbook Air with M1. As a source I use the Itunes / Music Playlists. Under Windows there were never problems. With the M1 I now have the problem that the art covers are not displayed. This is only with the Apple Music or imported from Music playlists so. Can anyone else confirm this issue?

 

Yes, same issue... since Catalina an Apple Music. I found no solution...

Thank you for sharing the script. It's working, but not stable. So now I installed rekordbox on my MacBook and with this Software the Artwork from the iTunes/Music Library is working. Same with DJay Software. I think now there is a issue in the Traktor Software. Can anybody explain the Problem? Knows NI the problem?

 

NI has acknowledged I. I think it's on their list of things to enhance.

What set ups are you all running? Thought I'd ask here before opening a new thread.
I just got the new MacBook Air M1 and I'm having issues with the output routing. Set Up through Native Access was easy and without problems. Out of the box I only have the below options under output routing though:


I've not found anything about that anywhere. Any idea?

 

What controller/mixer are you using?

I have the M1 Mac mini and all my gear works.

How did you get the S2 mk2 work with the M1 and Big Sur?

 

I would actually be using an A&H Xone 4D. A&H said that the drivers aren't being updated anymore so it will never be supported.
The described problem is just out of the box. Fresh install on a fresh updated Mac OS. Just messing around after the install I didn't notice any problems. Then I wanted to listen over my headphones which didn't work (no pre listening just the master signal, I know that there is no split without separate sound card), checked the output routing and found what you see in the screenshot. Doesn't seem to be installed right. Not sure what to do about it though.

really? i thought Big Sur+M1 doesn't support the mk2s! so it actually is? if so then now i can buy the new macbook with a peace of mind.

I have a Mac mini M1 that I bought just for video so I didn’t go all out to see if everything with Traktor is up to par. I was just happy to see everything work.
