So, I haven't updated my laptop to Windows7 yet to start playing with the new Traktor, in the meantime I've been toying with 3.4 for a bit with TouchOSC.

I don't know if the new traktor has resolved the OSC issues - but I spent like two days trying to figure this out - doing some debugging, netdumps, etc, in fact - I probably wouldn't have gotten it working without Traktor 2.6 lying around too.

There _IS_ in fact a missing menu - they did SORT of update it to be simpler for sync to auto find stuff (which no one seems to have gotten working) - which means in T3 the only part of this menu that was really useful that's missing is the ability to specify an IP for output - so I can send messages back to my tablet running touchOSC _and_ use puredata to scope out the (unpublished) traktor OSC namespace.

I have _no_ idea if this will work with TPro or T2 as I haven't used either in a few years and just setup a new laptop (blah blah I said it above) so - I will test that as soon as possible.

However - in the meantime - is there anyone still using T3 maybe with TouchOSC that wants details?? :)

I want to enable as many extra features as possible with OSC - eg more than just having LED feedback - constant sync'd bidirectional feedback - etc - let's hope they didn't strip OSC sync the functionality from Tpro2..!

    cheers

    ps. ahem.. just a preview:

    osc: /Traktor.Deck1.Volume 1
    osc: /Traktor.Deck2.Volume 1
    osc: /Traktor.Deck3.Volume 1
    osc: /Traktor.Deck0.EQHigh 0.00784314
    osc: /Traktor.Deck0.EQHigh 0.0823529
    osc: /Traktor.Deck0.EQHigh 0.156863
    osc: /Traktor.Deck0.EQHigh 0.286274
    osc: /Traktor.Deck0.EQHigh 0.4
    osc: /Traktor.Deck0.EQHigh 0.466667
    osc: /Traktor.Deck0.EQHigh 0.501961

So.. After a bit of toying - not EVERYTHING is mapped to OSC..

Here's what I could find that works:
    OSC YES: :)
    Traktor.Deck0-3.Pitch 0-1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.Volume 0-1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.Start 0|1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.Seek 0-4096 IN?|OUT
    Traktor-Deck0-3.Beat 1.67477e-037? OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.EQHigh 0-1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.EQLow 0-1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.EQMid 0-1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.EQHighKill 0|1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.EQMidKill 0|1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.Deck0-3.EQLowKill 0|1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.XFader 0-1 IN|OUT
    Traktor.MasterVolume 0-1 IN|OUT

    OSC NO: :(
    deck0-3 all fx controls
    deck0-3 gain
    deck0-3 MID LOW EQ
    deck0-3 MID HI EQ
    headphone volume
    headphone mix
    almost the rest..

Looks like we can add a detailed (0-4096) seeker, OSC (floating point) pitch and channel vol controls, have beat LEDs, maybe show BPM..

Functionality seems to come and go sometimes too - I just got some messages for master level output so maybe that will work too?

Seems like a lot of the output is garbage sometimes eg 1.383268e-37 .. testing with Oldschool Traktor 2 actually has proper bpm output unlike T3.4.. seems like somewhere along the line somethings broke and were never fixed..

About the ONLY thing this seems useful for now is having more fine grained pitch/volume control (and a few others) - which I won't complain about - but damn - I wish more worked - T2 works beautifully with OSC actually - BPM displays on TouchOSC, etc..

Oddly enough messages that exist in 3.4 do not exist in 2.6.. !

    :(

Interestingly enough - the day after I figure this out - my tablet DIES.
