    Hi,

I use Booth Out to an additional sound card. that sound card is then selected in OBS.

    :)

As per Libra9's post, I'm pretty sure the booth out to an additional sound card is the best method.

I did manage to get the traktor software to appear as a source in OBS on my macbook pro, but it was the unfiltered sound - so for DVS it was the track + the record sine wave noise, and for vinyl is was both channels at the same time at the same volume.

I figure there's probably some software out there that could take the output from traktor and re-route it as an input - Soundflower for example - but in my brief research it appears far too complicated when the easy option was to output the booth to another computer running OBS.

I had the same issue last night. If you select the Z2 as a source you'll get all channels together, basically everything that goes through the Z2.
What you want to do is only use channels 7 and 8 out of the Z2, or route the audio from Traktor Pro to OBS.

    Route Traktor Pro to OBS:

    Use Loopback like this:

    loopback.png
Then use Loopback as your audio input in OBS

    Pro: Easiest solution by far
    Con: Loopback is expensive

    Route Z2's channel 7 & 8 to OBS

Solution 1: Use Audio Hijack like this:

    audiohijack.png

You could also route Traktor like you do with Loopback

Pro: relatively easy but not as easy as Loopback
    Cons:
    • Doesn't create a virtual interface so you have to route to your global output
    • Again, not cheap.
Solution 2: Use Jack Audio like this:

    jackaudio.png
    Pro: it's free!
Con: not the easiest to setup

I won't go in the details but if you need some more guidance on Jack I can add step by step instructions.

Hope this helps! Happy mixing and streaming!

I have found a way to get it working without any additional hardware or software, by routing internally in windows 10 on my HP Pavilion laptop. For anyone still looking for a solution, you could give this a try:
    • In the Audio Settings of Windows 10, under INPUT is the built-in microphone.
    • With the Z2 connected and powered on, under this INPUT, the Z2 Output becomes available as an option
    • When Z2 output is selected as the Win 10 input, this input can be selected as microphone/aux audio input in OBS :)
This works great in my setup. I think it probably is pretty universal. Although I have only done recording and no streaming (yet) in OBS.
