Trance Gate

Hi There,
I have looked pretty much everywhere.
I was just wondering if you guys could give me some advise on creating a trance gate, demonstrated on synths such as Vanguard and Nexus by reFx.

Back to old times.. You can make it in Reaktor by building Sequencer. Here is short ensemble attached to this post, try to play several chords on it (holding few buttons together, don't forget to press Play button, before you start). There are loads of synths with such function in User Library, search for Trance/Gate etc. Basically, you need to learn what is sequencer first and how to make it. Vanguard can be reproduced in Reaktor as well, as it is not hard synth to build.. Good luck!

I was just wondering if there was a way of integrating an on/off switch instead of pressing play when you want to use it.

However I have tried to implement your suggestion, but it doesn't seem to be working. When I switch the button on it starts playing chords randomly without me asking it to.
I was wondering if there was a technique to literally turn the sequencer on and off through the oscillator. Without the button there I press play and the gate is there, i press stop and it goes back without the sequencer.

Change button mode to Toggle and add two multiply modules (from Built-In Modules -> Math). After that connect Gate output to one of multiply inputs and button output to second multiply input. Multiply out goes to A input of two oscillators. Should work. So when you press button and it has value of 1 - Gate goes through, overwise 0 goes through.

 

Also looking for a Vanguard ensemble (mainly for the trancegate), I like the modulation options in 3x by James Walker-Hall, but the seq cant modulate the output like the trancegate in Vanguard. How could I add this option to that ensemble?

And for that matter, has anyone made a "Vanguard" ensemble? I see it mentioned above that it's easy for some...I'd love to get my hands on that if someone can "whip one up" real quick.
