First and foremost let me apologise, I can pretty much guarantee this has been covered before. However I did have a good look so Im afraid I've just gotta ask haha!

Ive just got myself a MacBook and have my entire Windows XP Traktor Folder on an external harddrive. Am I right in thinking I can just replace the Mac folder with the XP one? Or would that cause absolute mayhem?

A link will be fine for an answer haha

    Peace

i think that must be possible. Only the application is for mac or windows... the other files are the same... so you can use the windows stuf for this.

Mac can read a windows harddisc. Windows cannot read the mac harddisc (so I formatted my HD for windows and use it on mac). The only difference is that when you format the hd for mac, it can be faster on mac.

    (I am not 100% sure)

I would install a fresh Traktor on the Mac..

Put the MP3's in the desired folder..

Import windows collection file from USB stick.

Why not call NI support to check?

Sorry about my but english.. I think there is no problem then . You took the history or everything you want from pc on usb stick and plug it to mac and thats all. All the memory sticks are mac and windows compatible .Except if you make format ntfs by yourself.

One thing I'd recommend, make sure you re-format your external hard disk under MAC. FAT32 and NTFS have certain limitations under OS/X.

Yo, I gathered up the courage and just fully replaced the everything in the Traktor folder and everything worked absolutely fine.

Only thing I had to do was relocate my tracks, but apart from that it was unbelievable easy!

Cheers for all the input and I hope this thread helps over people in the same predicament! :)

    Peace
