Hello. sorry for my computer ignorance, but I am buying a new computer and would like to transfer my KOMPLETE 6 to it. It is fully registered with the computer I have at the moment. Will there be problems making it work on my new computer? Or is it simply a case of transferring to the new hard drive?

As my email will be the same will it just mean reactivating on the new computer? Alternatively I have been considering updating to KOMPLETE 7. Would this simplify things?

Apologies for what must seem such a simple question.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Dan

My Komplete 7 arrives today. And my new computer is all ready to go. I think it should be fine as long as you're a registered user. But it would be nice to get an "official" answser. :p

Hi gents. There shouldn't be an issue installing it onto a second computer, just go through the process as you did the first time. If you have any problems drop tech support a line and they'll be able to help you.

Hey.....I am experiencing the same problem,as I bought a much larger PC in order to handle the load of this program and after I spent hours uploading all of the programs to my new PC and I got cold-cocked by the Service Center.

When I entered the serial number,I received a message saying that my K6 was already in use!

I was told by a friend that NI allows for 3 separate installations and I only have one thus far....so what the F*CK is going on here?

I had absolutely no problems adding my Presonus DAW and my Reason 4TO MY 2ND PC,as I simply entered my license keys & I was good to go.
WHY THE F*CK DOES NI MAKE EVERYTHING SO DIFFICULT?

    @ elwoodblues1969.

Firstly, have you submitted a ticket to support? If you have let me know the ticket number and I'll chase it up.

OK, I've found your ticket. Can you confirm you were logged into Service Center under the registered user account that the product is registered with?

I indeed did,but I logged in from a different PC...does that make a difference? Also,I recently discovered that there is a Service Center 2...is this a factor as well?

    Hey,

I recently bought a maschine (full version) second hand off of Craigslist. I got my owner to initiate the process of disowning and renewing the license; however, I was wondering how long that would take?

I saw that you asked this question on the forum yet nobody answered it. Did you manage to get everything going smoothly on your side?

To handle a license transfer, NI has to go out to their Registration Servers and remove that product from the Seller's NI Account.

One way to see if the license has been transferred is for you to install the software, install the most current version of NI Service Center, create an NI account (if you don't already have one), then try to authorize Maschine.

If the old registration has not been removed you will receive a "product already in use" message.

The same software can not be registered under two different NI accounts at the same time. This is why the NI person asked the original poster if he was trying to authorize under a different NI account than the software was originally installed under.
