Ive done this numerous times and it can be pretty pain free.

Traktor writes tags to all your files (supported file types) so theres no issues with Writing Tags.

You need to make a backup of the Collection.nml and your settings Folder and any tsi that you use.

When you install traktor after you have copied your music collection over you need to Import the Collection.nml from the backup. Also copy and paste and replace the new settings folder in the new Native Instruments folder with the one from the backup.

Now the problem you will have is that the new hard drive will be called something different to the old one (if not then you have no issues).
When your import your Music Folder and then you Collection.nml all your tracks will appear but show as missing with '!' next to them. Thats cus the paths are all pointing to the old drive.
Simply do a Consistency Check and relocate the files. Depending on the size of the collection it could take a long time.

When you are prompted to choose where to Read Tags from choose Files.

That should do it. Dont forget to import your tsi.
