    Hello,
Everything is updated (Mac, Komplete, ...). I had no problem to use transport buttons to lead Logic Pro X ... up to now. Komplete Kontrol was automatically recognized by Logic.
I decided to use an Akai MPD226 to lead Logic as well. Unfortunately, Komplete Kontrol notes are always working but not the transports buttons, even if logic surface control parameters are corrects.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks from France,
    Pascal

I have the same issue as of today. Received my new KK s61 MK2 yesterday, and the transport controls seemed to work fine. Today, I can't make them work to save my life. Browser works, keyboard works, and I can record/play tracks in Logic using the mouse or Mac keyboard, but the transport controls on the s61 are just ignored. I can't imagine what changed overnight. I've tried power cycling the keyboard, relaunching Logic Pro X, deleting the .cs preference file so that Logic re-recognizes the keyboard, and none of this helps. In my case, I'm brand new to the NI world, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I'm stumped at the moment. Hopefully someone can suggest something that will fix it for both of us!

Hi, did you try to restart your Mac. In my, it works, the transport buttons works again ... but after a bug in logic, I had to relaunch it and the transport button do not work any more.
The only one solution : Restart the Mac itself ...
    Musically, Pascal

I guess no one from NI is interested in helping with this?

Transport buttons stop if I restart Logic until I reboot the MAC.

Reinstalled os, still the same, Reinstalled KK, and it worked but today Im back to square one again!

Any chance of this issue ever getting sorted or anyone who works for NI replying?

Hi, the solution I found out was to make the NI S61 MK2 as on top position of the control surface list -> CS1 ... and it works for now.

Thank you for replaying. Although the only control surface I have in the list is KK. I’ve got a maschine Mikro but that doesn’t show up in there at all.

Unfortunately, this issue has returned. As soon as you quit LPX and you restart it, the transport buttons do not work anymore. The only one solution is to restart the iMac ! Please N.I. fix this issue ...

Same here. brand new Kontrol S88 delivered yesterday. In the first Logic session it was recognized and installed automatically and all the DAW integration features worked great. Every session after that, nothing worked except the plugin controls; no transport buttons, mixer, etc. Restarted Logic, turned the keyboard off and on, deleted the Logic control surfaced config file, manually removed and re-added the keyboard as a control surface, tried to manually reconfigure the controls... nothing. Only rebooting the Mac fixed it. (macOS 10.5.4, latest version of Logic and all NI software.)

This seems to be an issue introduced with Logic 10.5.

I believe NI are working on it

This was definitely NOT introduced with Logic 10.5. It has been going on for at least a year, and it continues with Logic 10.5.

I have the same issue here. KK transport etc. works intermittently, but once it decides to go, it's gone until a reboot.

Komplete Kontrol is the only control surface that is so flakey, the others (iPad, Motif XF and Roli Loop Block) all work flawlessly.

^ To clarify, resetting LPX control surface prefs or removing the KK control surface via the UI followed by any number of LPX restarts do not resolve the issue. The only thing that brings back the transport, mute, solo etc. controls is a system reboot.

I have also had a lot of transport drop issues for a while now and for a number of causes. In don't really understand why is 2020, we can't just connect a control surface and have the simple transport buttons just work like plugging in any mouse and having it just work, or even just the midi keys that always just work. Why is transport control so beyond native control. And don't get me started on
Luna". Where did we go wrong?

Yes correct, reboot only solves it for a little while then happens again when in session randomly.

Apple is where we went wrong... seriously.

Many of the issues with these kinds of things are complications in how Apple have introduced a lot of their os protections between what can and cannot talk to another application and developers in all areas are having to scramble to work around these issues. Apple is all about "moving forward" and to hell with compatibility (essentially). I hear it from a few companies I work with that have zero love for apple at all.

I have not met a cross platform developer yet that doesn't hate the situation they HAVE to deal with and most would love a world where they no longer needed to support the macOS system. Every release just makes things even harder to do.

Logic especially is just not geared towards open integration... Playing with others nicely isn't want Apple is all about... Just look at the fact they do not support the cross platform VST standard for a start...

Whether Apple “plays well with others” is not really at issue here. The fact is that Native says they support transport on Logic, and it doesn’t work. It’s on Native to either fix it or stop claiming to support it. This forum is littered with threads from frustrated people who bought KK’s expecting them to work with Logic because Native says they will. That’s on Native. If Apple makes it too hard, then Native needs to stop claiming it works.

(And also call Novation and ask why they don’t have the same issues).
